A Home Full of Paws – The Goberians Chronicles

(Edited)

It all started with a rare love story inside our small home. We have three dogs: Cara, a sweet female Golden Retriever, and two Siberian Huskies—Nichi, the black and white male, and Akiho, the brown female.

We love them all, but they seem to have a love story of their own.
Cara, our Golden girl, fell in love with Nichi. She would always follow him around and stay close like a dog with a big crush.
But Nichi? He was never into her.
Because ever since he was a pup, Nichi has always been in love with Akiho, his long-time companion.
Sadly, Akiho always rejects him—no matter how sweet or persistent he is. She turns away, uninterested.
But here’s the twist: Akiho secretly likes Cara.
She follows her around, tries to be close, and shows signs of affection.
So now, we have a very complicated love square:

Cara loves Nichi
Nichi loves Akiho
Akiho loves Cara
And no one loves Nichi back the way he wants.

Then Came the Pups:

In the most unexpected way, Cara got what her heart wanted. She charmed Nichi, and soon they had 12 puppies—though only 7 made it, and the rest, sadly, didn’t survive.
We were heartbroken but thankful. Those 7 little pups became the new heartbeat of our home.

They were so small, eyes still closed, always nursing or sleeping beside their mama. Cara was very gentle—never leaving their side, always making sure they were warm and full.

As days passed, they opened their eyes and started crawling. Some were playful, some quiet. Each had their own little personality.

First Bath:

At 8 weeks old, we gave them their first bath. Some of them enjoyed it like it was just another game, but a few froze on the spot—like we had done something unthinkable. Their faces said it all, like they couldn’t believe we got them wet!

By around 2 and a half months, they were already full of energy. They would follow us around, wait patiently for meals, and bring so much joy with their wagging tails and silly faces.
And not just one—but all of them—turned out to be little escape artists!
They worked together like a team, using their tiny paws and playful strength to push, climb, or wiggle their way out of their playpen.
It really felt like they had a plan—and they always pulled it off.

Trouble on the Roof:

One morning, I went up to our rooftop and saw the garden hose. At first, I thought the connector just came loose—but when I looked closer, I caught them right there, in the act!
The whole Goberian gang, with their mom Cara, were having the time of their lives—chewing, tugging, and playing with the hose like it was their new favorite toy.
All of them, side by side, sharing the fun like it was a group project.
I held up the broken nozzle and gave them a soft scolding. And just like that, they all froze—sitting quietly, looking at me with those innocent faces, as if they didn’t just destroy the evidence right in front of me.

Orange’s Vet Day:

One of them, Orange, had his first vet visit. During the car ride, inside the clinic, and even after we got home—he stayed calm the whole time. No shaking, no fuss, just quietly looking around like it was a normal day.
He was so well-behaved, and honestly, I was really proud of him.

What Comes Next:

Every day with them brings something new. From nursing to running, from breaking things to cuddling close—these are the daily paw-sibilities of life with my Goberians.
Not always perfect. Not always peaceful. But always full of love.
And now that they’re growing fast, I know the time is coming when each of them will go to their new fur parents. I’m happy for them—but deep inside, I know I’ll miss them.
Their little paws, their funny habits, the way they all look at me like I’m their whole world… it’s not easy to let go.
But I’ll always be thankful that I got to be their first home, and that they gave me this short but beautiful season of love, laughter, and daily paw-sibilities.
