Mar Toren Trader Review | A Powerful 3 Mana Support Card!

Hi Splinterlands lovers

Hello friends How are you all? I hope you are all doing well. I am also doing well. Today I am back with another Splinterlands post. In today's post I reviewed the Splinterlands character Mar Toren Trader. This character belongs to the Tideborn element and its rarity is Rare. The best thing about this card is that it has a mana cost of only 3 which makes it a great choice for low mana battles.

Stats at maximum level

Now let's take a look at this card's stats at the maximum level. At max level it has 2 Ranged Attack 3 Speed and 7 Health. And its attack type is Ranged.

Abilities at maximum level

Now let me tell you about this card's abilities. At the maximum level it has two abilities: Headwinds and Heal.

1. Headwinds

The Headwinds ability reduces the Ranged Attack of all enemy ranged monsters by 1. If the enemy team relies heavily on ranged monsters this ability makes them much weaker. It can even completely neutralize monsters that have only 1 Ranged Attack.

2. Heal

The second ability is Heal. Heal restores a portion of this monster's health at the beginning of every round. This makes Mar Toren Trader much harder to eliminate and allows it to survive longer in battle. It becomes even more effective when placed behind a strong tank.

Position

Now let me tell you where you should place Mar Toren Trader in battle. I don't recommend placing it in the first position because it is a Ranged monster and it cannot attack from the front. In my opinion the best place for this card is in one of the last positions behind a strong tank. This keeps it safe while allowing it to weaken enemy ranged monsters with its Headwinds ability and continuously restore its own health with Heal. That's why I think it should be placed near the back of your team.

Weaknesses

Now let's talk about this monster's weaknesses. The first weakness is that it cannot be placed in the first position because as a Ranged attacker it cannot attack from the front. Another weakness is that if your opponent isn't using any Ranged monsters then its Headwinds ability won't provide much value. Those are the two main weaknesses of this card.

Overall opinion

Now let me share my overall opinion about Mar Toren Trader. I think it's a very good support card. For only 3 mana it offers decent ranged damage, good health, reduces the attack of enemy ranged monsters and with Heal it keeps restoring its own health throughout the battle.
