A rainy day in the country with the family

Un saludo mi querida comunidad y a todos lo que hacen vida en esta linda plataforma. Aunque los cambios climáticos nos cambian los planes, igual hay que adaptarse y hacer unos ajuste a lo que se tenia planificado realizar para una salida al campo, en especial cuando la intención era bañarnos en el rio.

Greetings my dear community and to all who make life in this beautiful platform. Although weather changes change our plans, we still have to adapt and make some adjustments to what we had planned to do for a field trip, especially when the intention was to swim in the river.

Cuando me levanté el sol estaba super radiante no había señales que ese día caería la madre de las lluvias o como decimos señor palo de agua. Preparamos todo lo se iba a llevar desde el agua, la comida y la ropa para cambiarnos después de un refrescante baño en el rio. La mañana amaneció bien calurosa por esta razón nuestra ganas de salir a compartir fuera de casa en un ambiente bien fresco y agradable como es el campo, sentarnos bajos los árboles a orillas del rio y preparar una ruca comida en un espacio abierto y de una manera bien diferente a la acostumbrada y que además queda más sabrosa y les ha lo de cocinar en leñas.

When I woke up, the sun was shining brightly and there was no sign that the mother of the rains or as we say Mr. water stick would fall that day. We prepared everything we were going to take with us from water, food and clothes to change after a refreshing swim in the river. The morning dawned very hot for this reason our desire to go out to share outside in a very fresh and pleasant environment such as the countryside, sit under the trees on the banks of the river and prepare a ruca meal in an open space and in a very different way to the usual and that is also more tasty and has them what to cook on firewood.

Al llegar a la casa de campo se comenzaron a escuchar muy a lejos unos truenos y esto es una señal de alerta cuando estamos cerca de un río, por el peligro que esto implica al momento de bañarse ya que nos puede sorprender una crecida. Esta fue una de las razones por las que decidimos quedarnos en la casita y hacer la comida allí, ya que primero está nuestra seguridad y además hay que ser precavidos. No tenía mucho rato de esto, estamos prendiendo la leña cuando comenzó a llover, aunque no era cualquier cosa, fue un torrencial que además no paraba. Tenía un poco de nervios porque en otras ocasiones nos cuenta la señora Rafaela que el río ha llegado muy cerca de su casa.

When we arrived at the lodge we began to hear thunder very far away and this is a warning sign when we are near a river, because of the danger that this implies at the time of bathing as we can be surprised by a flood. This was one of the reasons why we decided to stay in the cottage and have lunch there, since our safety comes first and we also have to be cautious. We had not been doing this for long, we were lighting the firewood when it started to rain, although it was not just any rain, it was a torrential downpour that did not stop. I was a little nervous because on other occasions Mrs. Rafaela tells us that the river has come very close to her house.

Sin embargo realizamos la comida, nos sentamos a comer y conversar este tipo de anécdotas de situaciones que han vivido en el pueblo de Cumanacoa con la crecida del rio, incluso muchas gente ha perdido todos sus bienes materiales y hasta muchas vidas. Dentro de los nervios fue muy placentero escuchar el sonido de la lluvia en ese techo y ver los animales contentos bañarse en ella. El clima cambio por completo que hasta la neblina se hizo presente. Regresamos a casa con una nueva experiencia vivida y mucho aprendizaje sobre la fuerza que tiene la impredecible naturaleza.

However we had lunch, we sat down to eat and talk about these kinds of anecdotes of situations that have occurred in the town of Cumanacoa with the flooding of the river, including many people who have lost all their material goods and even many lives. In spite of the nerves, it was very pleasant to hear the sound of the rain on that roof and to see the happy animals bathing in it. The weather changed so much that even the fog was present. We returned home with a new experience and a lot of learning about the power of the unpredictable nature.
