I tend to feel sad on cloudy days. The doctor says it's related to vitamin D, but I think it's more because I don't like getting my feet wet. The truth is, I love walking, and when it rains here, everything fills with puddles.

Similarly, the pessimism of the bear market saddens me. Just a few months ago, I was thinking about selling my hives for Hive dollars and staking them, but I didn't. Now I see that it would have been the best decision. If I had, I might have reached the Orca level. I've put my appetite for trading on hold. It's time to change my strategy.

Strategy

First, I powered up my Hive by 10,000 Hives. Seeing how many people were doing the opposite, I decided to swim up. My reasoning was that the price of Hive would stay at these levels for a long time. Trading between Hive and Hive Dollar could be counterproductive. If the price goes up and I've sold, I'd lose money, and if it goes down, I could buy back and increase my token count, getting closer to my dream of becoming an Orca. But instead of taking the risk, I decided to power up. This way, my token count doesn't decrease; it increases, even if only slightly.

Second, I delegated almost all of my Hive power i'm order to generate passive income. Part of it went to leo.voter, part to tipu, and part to ecency. This way, I also ensure that my power is used to vote on quality posts while I earn some Hives.

Third, against all odds, I started writing. For a long time, I only read without commenting, keeping my power up low. I must say I'm more of a numbers person than a words person, but now I realize it was an opportunity I was missing.

Fourth. After analyzing things, I realize that perhaps I rushed into delegating almost all My power, as I'm missing the opportunity to evaluate the posts I read myself. It might not be as effective, but it would definitely be more comforting, more human or less mechanical than usually I am. Perhaps I'll decide to vote for myself in the future, even if it takes a little more time.

Fifth. On the other hand, what I've thought about buying a fixed amount of Hive per week to get a long-term average price. This way, if the price goes down, I'll buy more Hive, but if it goes up, I'll buy less. In the end, the average price will be my starting point.

Estrategia

Primero hice un power up de 10,000 hives. Mirando como muchos peces hacen lo contrario yo decidí nadar arriba. Mi razonamiento fue que el precio de hive se va mantener por mucho tiempo por estos precios. Hacer traiding entre hive y hive dollar puede ser contraproducente. Si el precio sube y he vendido, quedaría en pérdida y si baja podría comprar de nuevo y aumentar mi número de tokens acercándome más al sueño de ser Orca. Pero yo en lugar de arriesgar decidí hacer power up. De esta manera mi número de tokens no baja sino que sube si o si aúnque sea un poco.

Segundo, delegue casi la totalidad de mi hive power para obtener ganancias pasivas. Una parte a leo.voter, otra parte a tipu y otra parte a ecency. De esta manera me aseguro también de que mi power sea usado para votar posts de calidad al mismo tiempo que gano algunos hives.

Tercero. Contra todo pronóstico empecé a escribir. Durante mucho tiempo solo leía sin hacer comentarios, manteniendo un power up bajo. Debo decir que soy más bien un hiver de números que de letras, pero ahora me doy cuenta de que era una oportunidad que estaba desperdiciando.

Cuarto. Una vez analizando me doy cuenta de que tal vez me precipité en delagar casi todo pues me pierdo de la oportunidad de valorar por mi mismo los posts que leo. Tal vez no sea tan efectivo pero definitivamente sería más reconfortante, más humano y menos mecánico como suelo ser. Tal vez decida en un futuro votar por mi mismo aunque me consuma un poco más de tiempo.

Quinto. Por otro lado lo que he pensado hacer es empezar a comprar una cantidad fija de hive por semana para obtener un precio promedio a largo tiempo. De este modo si el precio baja, comprare más hives, pero si sube compraré menos. Al final será el precio promedio mi punto de partida.
