Hmm

"Let's scrutinize Gallup's questionable poll… Should an extra fraction of tax funds be allocated to Ukraine?"

I'm of the opinion that if people want to donate to the Ukrainian cause then they should be free to do so. But our government shouldn't be stealing our money to do so.

There's merit to stressing individual choice. It's important to remember, though, governments often weigh broader interests when allocating funds. Balancing voluntary aid with strategic national priorities is a difficult call

I question their motives. At least I would like to hear it clearly explained how the many billions in taxpayer money sent to Ukraine are serving the "broader interests" of those being taxed and why it should be a "strategic national priority", again to what benefit of those being taxed?

I understand your point. Supporters say that aiding Ukraine may help stabilize the region, which might prevent broader conflicts that could impact our security and economy. However, ensuring transparency and clear benefits for taxpayers remains vital

People are always free 2donate out of their own pockets 2 whatever cause they want. It's using tax money 4 purposes we don't approve of which is the problem.

As for people who complain @ tax cuts, they are free to donate to the Treasury.
