My practice with my top and trouser

** Hello everyone** How is your day over there? Mine is delightful.

These few weeks that I have started learning with my boss, I really enjoy the way she tries her best to show me how she cuts clothes. She is the type that likes it when you concentrate and watch her closely while she cuts out new design, compared to the place I was learning before I didn't really gain much there, but am happy that here I have seen someone to put me through

She sells materials to support her fashion business, I got my 2yards material from her so I can practice top and trouser, even though am not yet perfect in it, I believe with time I will be great in it.

Fashion designing is what I love and am always eager to learn new things. This is my first time of sewing top and trouser by myself. Apart from wanting to use the trouser as practice, I also need it to protect my legs from sunfly, they are so much here.

My procedure

I got the following measurement

For the trouser

Trouser length-40 inches
Crotch length -14 inches
Hip-35 inches
Lap-21 inches

For the top
Top length-27 inches
Burst- 34
Waist -27
Then I made a slant on the top, one side is high and the other low

I added my allowance accordingly, I added 4 inches allowance, the trouser already took much of the cloth because of my height. Then I cut the sleeve. I made the sleeve length(SL)to be 9 inches and the round sleeve (RS) to be 10 inches with the sewing allowance.

I joined the crotch cutting first then I joined the front and back of the trouser, I didn't put pocket so the back and front is equal.

I used my fabric as interface for the neck , after joining I hem it.
