How I sew my straight skirt

Hello everyone, happy weekend to you.

I decided to add one more skirt to my wardrobe, clothes are never enough 😁, we keep adding for different occasions.

The material is a little bit stretchy. I feel I have had too much of black skirts and I need a change of colour so I got my multicolored fabric with this I would be able to match it with any blouse of my choice.

I bought 1 yard and I folded it using the biggest measurement which is the hip, I folded into 4 setting aside the zip allowance

I used my Hip which is 35 inches and I added 5 inches allowance to serve for the Zip allowance and seam allowance

I made the waist 28 inches then I cut a band of 4 inches,but after folding it, it will become 2 inches for the thickness, the band is not too long, it will be high waist skirt,the length of the skirt is 22 inches plus the 1 inch for folding it in

I joined the front and back together, and sew it to my fitted measurement, the inches divided by 2 since it is in two places now(front and back). I fixed a purple zip, after that I sew the down part.

I wore a white top to match it,any cool colour top can match it as well, but I prefer the white for now, I don't want it to be too flashy, once the combination looks good together, I think am okay with it
