Today I want to share with you my pleasant experience visiting Bermúdez Square, located in Cumaná, Venezuela. This square has a long history and is a symbol of the tradition and culture of this beautiful city.

While touring the city center these past few days, I came across Bermúdez Square, which is traditionally surrounded by tobacco factories, textile shops, and many other businesses that have opened in recent times. It is named after a hero who was known for his bravery, participation, and achievements in battles for the independence of the city and our country.

This beautiful plaza is part of Cumaná's historical heritage and is of great value to each and every one of its residents. Over time, it has served as a place of study for young people, and today it is a place of recreation for nearby residents and visitors alike.

I was happy to see the plaza clean and well-kept, and I noticed that small trees native to our region had recently been planted in the green spaces. It is important to note that trees age and sometimes fall during strong winds. Therefore, it is important to plant new trees to replace those that are aging.

I loved enjoying the welcoming atmosphere of the place, which reminds me of high school research projects and interviews with representatives from nearby factories, such as the tobacco factory that still exists. This place served as a reunion with people I hadn't seen in a long time, and I also learned additional facts from this friend related to the history of this square.

Apparently, it is built on what used to be a cemetery, and there are legends about apparitions and other mysterious anecdotes that some residents have witnessed, ha ha ha. All of this is historical, tourist, social, and cultural heritage that is worth highlighting and preserving so that its charm endures over time.

Hola a todos mis amigos viajeros de @wordlmappin. Que alegría saludarlos y desearles un felíz fin de semana. Hoy les quiero compartir mi grata experiencia visitando la plaza Bermúdez, ubicada en Cumaná, Venezuela. Plaza que tiene historia, es símbolo de tradición y cultura de esta linda ciudad.
En estos días recorriendo el centro de la ciudad, llegué a la plaza Bermúdez que tradicionalmente cuenta en sus alrededores fábricas de tabaco, tiendas textiles y muchas otros Comercios que se han instalado en los últimos tiempos. Tiene su nombre en honor a un prócer destacado por su valentía, participación y logros en batallas por la independencia de la ciudad y también de nuestro país.
Esta hermosa plaza es patrimonio histórico de Cumaná y posee un gran valor para cada uno de los cumaneses. A lo largo del tiempo ha servido de sitio de estudios a jóvenes y en la actualidad es medio de recreación de los habitantes cercanos y también de visistantes.
Me dió alegría ver la plaza limpia y cuidada, pude darme cuenta que tenía recién sembradas árboles pequeños propios de nuestra región en los espacios verdes. Es importante señalar, que los árboles envejecen y en ocasiones caen por vientos fuertes. Por lo que, es importante sembrar nuevos árboles para reponer los que van envejeciendo.
Me encantó disfrutar del ambiente acogedor del lugar, sitio que me recuerda proyectos del liceo de investigacion y entrevistas a los reprentantes de las fábricas cercanas, como la de tabaco que todavía existe. Este lugar sirvió de reencuebtro con personas que hacia tiempo no veía y además de conocer aspectos adicionales por éste amigo relacionados con las historias de esta plaza.
Al parecer está fundada sobre lo que antes fué un cementerio y cuentan leyendas acerca de apariciones y otras anécdotas de misterios que han presenciado algunos habitantes, jajaja. Todo esto es patrimonio histórico, turístico, social y cultural que la pena resaltar y rescatar y así perdure su encanto en el tiempo.
