What is EDSvote?
Eds-vote is an account that people can delegate HIVE POWER to. In return for their delegation, they will receive EDS tokens each Monday.

The delegated HP will be used to curate content on HIVE and provide small upvotes for those that hold over 100 EDS tokens. Delegating HIVE POWER to @eds-vote will not result in an upvote. This is not a delegation to upvote service. It is a way to distribute the remaining reallocated EDS into circulation.

What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that are pegged and backed to 1 HIVE each. They pay out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total powered-up HIVE balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of roughly 35%.

Let's have a look at the numbers in chart form as this is the best way to see performance and predict the future.

Been a few weeks from an update and not much has changed, the delegated in HP amount has been hovering between the 315-317k mark. I think this is our limit and we'll float between 300-350k for the next while. Anybody know a HIVE whale? haha

The curation APY this week was very high at 10.45% and it been 6 weeks since it was under 9% so we're doing alot better than the 8% we projected, around 25% better this week.

Higher curation APY equals more HP rewards for us with the same HP. This week is our biggest earning week with 630 HP earned. Thats a massive amount of HIVE and because we been stacking up curation rewards, we were able to start a 500 HIVE a week powerdown to transfer and power up at @eddie-earner. Even if delegations go to 0 HP tomorrow, @eddie-earner will still power up 500 HIVE a week for 4 months. The 13-week delay is crap when waiting but the other way round is pretty sweet.

Record curation earning means record EDS token minted too. @eds-vote at this point has taken over from (both) EDS miners as the biggest distributor of EDS tokens. If you told me this would happen 6 months ago, i would have laughed in your face.

There were 315 EDS tokens issued to @eds-vote delegators this week. In total eds-vote has minted 8,077 EDS to date which means 16,154 HIVE will be powered up to @eddie-earner.

Round-Up

Fairly standard week, I mean we hit new time highs for earnings but we're always hitting new time highs so it's not as fun. lol. We lost a few thousand and gained a few thousand HP in delegations.

The VP is consistent so the curation APY increasing must be happening across the board and im loving it, we earn more HIVE and mint more EDS.
