EDSvote update #57 | Now minting over 250 EDS per week to delegators 🎉

Welcome all to this week's EDSvote update where we look at a range of different things. Please follow the @eddie-earner account to make sure all our reports are going into your feed and you can easily stay updated on your investment.

What is EDSvote?
Eds-vote is an account that people can delegate HIVE POWER to. In return for their delegation, they will receive EDS tokens each Monday.

The delegated HP will be used to curate content on HIVE and provide small upvotes for those that hold over 100 EDS tokens. Delegating HIVE POWER to @eds-vote will not result in an upvote. This is not a delegation to upvote service. It is a way to distribute the remaining reallocated EDS into circulation.

What are EDS tokens?
EDS tokens are HIVE income tokens that are pegged and backed to 1 HIVE each. They pay out weekly dividends every Monday based on 12% of the total powered-up HIVE balance of the @eddie-earner account. This is currently paying out an APY to token holders of roughly 35%.

Let's have a look at the numbers in chart form as this is the best way to see performance and predict the future.

The above chart from 3 days ago shows we have 303k HP being delegated in but today's number is 308k and our growth is unbelievable. At this rate, we'll be a 350k HP curation trail and minting tons of EDS tokens each week to delegators. I thought we capped out at 300k, happy to be wrong 😝

Curation APY is still on teh high side at 8.82% this week, not complaining but dont really understand why. The voting power has been going sideways to increasing so not over-voting and we work out the APY based on last week's rewards vs this week's HP balance. Maybe im just overthinking it and should just be happy we're over our 8% benchmark.

Big curation rewards again this week each 512.60 HP being earned. Working out 8% of the current delegated in HP balance and dividing it into weeks comes up as 472 so earning over 500 is good. More HP from rewards means more EDS get minted!

Oh yes, 256 EDS minted this week. This project is catching up with EDS miners in terms of which mints the most EDS each week. EDS miners mint 296 EDS per week so @eds-vote is only 40 off. Do you remember 4 months ago when I was over the moon that eds-vote was minting 100 EDS per week? haha

The more we mint from @eds-vote the better and we'll keep shilling it every week with these weekly reports!

I must do a chart sometime to show how delegating to @eds-vote over time can grow a nice stack of EDS while getting an increasing EDS HIVE income payment each week. I need to do the same from EDSD. Im thinking out loud now.

Round-Up

Everytime I check the @eds-vote account, there is more HP being delegated to it. I dont know if people are just really loving EDS tokens lately are maybe they just like getting upvotes. @eds-vote has become very popular ever since SPI delegated 100k HP and 3 others delegated over 20k HP each. 🤔 There's no way to police it without wasting much energy so we live and let live. Won't stop me from making fun sometimes.

Either way, we are still minting lots of EDS tokens and powering up lots of HIVE POWER to @eddie-earner. Last week I started a 300 HIVE a week powerdown from @eds-vote and by the looks of things the next powerdown in 12ish weeks will be for 450-500 HIVE per week 😁.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support, at this rate @eds-vote can last roughly just over 5 more years. Looking back on projections, I had not factored in that we would ever grow to over 300k, haha.
