They don’t care about you.

I believe that we have only one life to live, and there's nothing wrong with treating yourself because you've worked hard and deserve it. No matter how little it may seem to you, prioritize your happiness. I've noticed that many people become obsessed with buying expensive items for themselves. While I’m not saying you shouldn’t buy luxury items because you deserve it, after all your hard work but If you find yourself purchasing expensive things solely to impress others, then that might be a misguided decision.

Many of the things we purchase to make ourselves happy may not be necessary. For example, upgrading to the latest car model when there’s nothing wrong with your current one isn't that bad, It reflects a desire to make yourself happy. The problems arise when these purchases are motivated by others' approval or to feel important. This mindset can lead to addiction, where the constant desire to buy expensive items results in significant financial mistakes that many people struggle to recover from.

It won’t last

When you start buying flashy and expensive items, people tend to notice, but many of them don’t care about you. They are only interested in the possessions you own. When you hear them singing your praises or calling you names, it’s important to understand that They are concerned with your car, jewelry, and other flashy items rather than with you as a person. People often mistake this praise and attention for genuine affection, leading them to feel trapped in a cycle. They feel pressured to maintain their material status to continue receiving recognition. Over time, it becomes clear that most people only care about the possessions you display, not about you as an individual.

Another example can be seen with celebrities when they perform on stage with their good voices, people shower them with praise. This reaction comes from the emotional response produced by their unique talents, rather than a genuine appreciation for the individual but online you often see how harshly people can speak about them. It's important to recognize that the love you receive based on your possessions is quick. It tends to last only as long as you can maintain that same level of uniqueness over time.

Oh

This is why it is a financial mistake to buy things just to impress people who don’t care about you. I’m not saying you can’t buy expensive items it’s perfectly fine to treat yourself and find happiness in your purchases. if you’re only buying things so that others can see you or praise you, or show off your wealth, it’s a financial mistake. At the end of the day, those people don’t truly care about you they only care about what you can provide. Once you can no longer afford those items, you'll see their true colors. That’s why it’s crucial to prioritize your finances. When you put yourself first, you are less likely to make financial mistakes that could ruin your life.

Thanks for your time.

I think that's also why they say don't let success get into your head. People mostly care what you can do for them, beyond that, there's nothing much to it. One can get into a financial depression just trying to please others, it's never enough.
