Spend time with your family

Somebody was sharing the story of a man with me and he said the man used to travel the world, moving from one country to another with a private jet but at the end of his life, he was always alone with a nurse and she was the only one taking good care of him. No family and they come around only once a year just to say hi. When people talk to the family about this behavior and ask why they are doing that to the man, why leave such a man alone with a nurse the family said nobody should put their mouth in what they don’t understand.

At first, I thought the family was so bad and so wicked because we have some families like that and that’s what they do to their father, they will leave them with a nurse or caregiver and that’s the best thing they will do for them. They don’t care about their parents or their family but when I listen to the story of this man further I realize this man was traveling around and he doesn’t always have time for his family too. He doesn’t have time for any family, He doesn’t even know what his children look like even though he was providing and dropping money for them, he was not in anybody’s life.

The regret

You see people don’t regret not spending time with their family not until it’s too late, not until they are vulnerable and they can’t do anything themselves. Some people believe that their children or their family doesn’t need their time until the situation is changed. Multiple people regret not spending time with their family when they are old when they don’t have the power to do the things they used to do before this is when they now realize they are a failure as a person.

The older you get the more it becomes difficult for you to go out and enjoy your life. Now you can’t go out anymore it’s now time for your family to spend time with you too but you are not always there. Some families can even take you in and let you live with them, but you are the type that doesn’t spend time with family It would be very difficult for them to do the same for you because the connection was not there in the first place and this might make your old age very difficult because everything is not about money.

Money solves problems but some things go beyond it

Everything is not about money and the mistakes some people make are thinking money will fill the void of their absence, which is a terrible mistake and most times it often leads to regret because money can never fill that void. Money might indeed give them security, but your presence with money is greater than money alone because money alone will not make them feel genuine love. This is one of the regrets people have, regretting that they should have spent more time with their family.

The main reason why this regret is constant is that they knew that there was no connection there. Some of them even know that their family providing the nurse to take care of them is even a blessing, they are not in a position to demand their presence, which is why it is important to spend more time with your family because it builds connection. It builds bonds, you know it only helps you to feel love at old age, but it will also help you to be happy at the end of your life.
