Never sell

I made a promise to myself a few months ago that I will never sell my hive below 50K and no matter how much money I need there must be 50 K Hive in my account that is the least I could go. I’m very sure we have people with the same principle on this blockchain because I noticed that we have some people who don’t really sell their hive and when they sell, they don’t normally pass a threshold, and that threshold means a lot to them. For me, 50 K means a lot because it was my dream to have 50 K Hive when I first joined the community.

Your own might be different, but for me, I was trying to fulfill a dream because most people do things for different reasons, for those people who don’t sell their hive below a threshold there might be a reason behind it, maybe the money they make with that threshold is what they use to sustain part of their finances. You never can tell, but the truth is we have some people who never sell. You might ask how it is possible for you not to ever sell to your asset or your hive, some people never sell their asset just because that is where the money is.

Buy low and sell high

On paper, this is the best strategy,  buy a property at a low price and sell it at a high price, this is a general belief and general knowledge. This is what most people tell us to do buy low and sell high. This is never a bad idea because you’re going to make money but most times it’s not always about how much you make because you can have a lot of money and still end up broke or you don’t know what to do with it. Buying low and selling high is not a bad idea, It’s the principle that most businesses work with, to buy something cheap and then sell at a high price, and do that again to make money.

The truth is, this is not always the best thing to do or the best way to do things. Just because it works perfectly well doesn’t mean you can’t make it better. Some people figure out a way to make it better and that way is to never sell their property or sell their asset. They are going to use the same approach of buying at a very low price but when the price appreciates they are not going to sell, instead they’re going to borrow against it to make more money. The question is, how do you make more money with the money you borrow?

The cashflow

people use the money they borrow to make more money by investing that money into something that gives them cash flow, and the Passive income they make from the cash flow is used to pay their debt and that’s how people do this over and over again by using the strategy of never selling. So instead of you selling your asset at the high price you borrow against it and use that money to make more money and the money you make from the cash flow is what you use to pay your debt. It is a simple strategy that works for a lot of rich people and the question is can we do that with Hive?
