I’m sick of watching friends ruining part of their lives with credit card debt. Sucks paying 20% on that debt. Can ruin you real quick

I never get, why one wouldn't pay back a credit card debt before the interest hints.

Absolutely!!

Don't they have other options? Like community based lending initiatives (in Guatemala, for instance, they're known as "kuchubales"), or even DeFi?

I used CC once just to pay utility bills in advance before salary arrives. And now that loop is never ending. Even 500 or so can become burden.

Yeah that's a game I play very carefully... to collect some airfare points but 20% is way high!
