Hello Rising Star Gamers

Welcome back again to my Starbits Every Night, a routine post I make on a night time when I play Rising Star Game.

Last week we were having good time with Aqua, a dance pop group from early 2000. So right now I am planning to this December 2023 giveaway to be full of dance pop artist and songs. For this week, I have chosen Sonique, the same Dance Pop Artist from early 2000.

We have been doing this format since August 2023 and I would like to thank to all Giveaway Participant who kept following on our theme. Below is a table describing how we have run this Giveaway

ANOTHER ONE HIT WONDER

Sonique, or Sonia Marina Clarke, is a well known british singer in early 2000. She got famous due to her debut studio album which had It Feels So Good and Sky, and thanks to these two singles, she got 2001 BRIT Award for British female solo artist.

The sad thing about her works is that despite all she has done for years, she is still a one hit wonder from early 2000. She started singing from 1985, it did not work well. She made 3 studio albums after the debut album, all those 3 did not hit any chart. Well the second one, Born to be free, managed to get top 100 due to one good single, Can't Make Up My Mind.

In my opinion, she did not get enough recognition due to lack of good songs. This song It Feels So Good was one of the best in late 90, became not only her signature, it was one of the signature songs from 90s dance pop song.

In 2021 she had this single as her latest one. Yes, she kept releasing some more singles, regaradless good or bad, they did not make it into charts...

Released Twice

It Feels So Good initially released in 1997 and it did not get any success that time. Later the song was used in a commercial on TV and got very popular. This made the record label released again in 2000 to get broader audience and they made it!! it became massive hits everywhere.
