Vivo en la ciudad de Cumaná, ubicada en el estado de Sucre, Venezuela, una localidad reconocida como la más antigua del continente americano. Nací, crecí y he pasado toda mi vida en este hermoso lugar. Vivir aquí es como experimentar una mezcla constante de luz y sombra. Aquí disfrutamos de hermosas puestas de sol y calles llenas de historia. Sé que esta tierra es hermosa, aunque esté un poco olvidada. Siempre le digo a las personas que amo el lugar donde vivo y que no me gustaría mudarme a otra ciudad; no porque sea radical, sino porque disfruto de las cosas hermosas y accesibles que se encuentran aquí.

En este lugar, tenemos la oportunidad de conocer gente amable con la que compartimos, vecinos que se sienten parte de nuestra familia y a quienes, en última instancia, elegimos como compañeros permanentes. I live in the city of Cumaná, located in the state of Sucre, Venezuela, a town recognized as the oldest on the American continent. I was born, raised, and have spent my entire life in this beautiful place. Living here is like experiencing a constant mix of light and shadow. Here we enjoy beautiful sunsets and streets full of history. I know this land is beautiful, even if it is a little forgotten. I always tell people that I love where I live and that I would not like to move to another city; not because I am radical, but because I enjoy the beautiful and accessible things that are found here.

In this place, we have the opportunity to meet kind people with whom we share, neighbors who feel like part of our family and whom, ultimately, we choose as permanent companions. Although there is no such thing as the perfect place, there is the ideal place to live, and that is where I live. Cumaná, land of grace.

La proximidad de los lugares

Una de las cosas que más valoro de donde vivo es que todo está a poca distancia. Si queremos ir a la playa, al río, a la montaña o de compras, todo está tan cerca y no tenemos que pasar tantas horas en coche para llegar hasta allá, como ocurre en otras ciudades que he visitado. La realidad es que esto simplifica las cosas. Hay quien dice que esta ciudad es como un pueblo pequeño. Recuerdo que cuando era joven, si quería ir al cine o a la playa, íbamos caminando. Sin duda, eso es algo que realmente aprecio de esta ciudad.

One of the things I value most about where I live is that everything is within walking distance. If we want to go to the beach, the river, the mountains, or shopping, everything is so close that we don't have to spend hours in the car to get there, as is the case in other cities I have visited. The reality is that this simplifies things. Some people say that this city is like a small town. I remember when I was young, if I wanted to go to the movies or the beach, we would walk there. Without a doubt, that's something I really appreciate about this city.

La calidez y hospitalidad de la gente

Puedo decir que hay gente de todo tipo en todas partes, pero también puedo decir que el lugar donde vivo se distingue por la cordialidad y amabilidad de sus habitantes. Es realmente increíble experimentar el cariño de personas que nos transmiten su felicidad; como suelo decir, todos nos comportamos como si fuéramos una familia. Aquí hay gente muy generosa y humilde, y a pesar de las adversidades económicas, los habitantes de Cumaná son resilientes y tienen la capacidad de resolver problemas. The warmth and hospitality of the people

I can say that there are all kinds of people everywhere, but I can also say that the place where I live stands out for the friendliness and kindness of its inhabitants. It is truly incredible to experience the affection of people who convey their happiness to us; as I often say, we all behave as if we were a family. Here there are very generous and humble people, and despite economic adversity, the inhabitants of Cumaná are resilient and have the ability to solve problems. For this reason, tourists who visit us are fascinated, as they are attracted by this unique, friendly, and welcoming way of being, characteristic of the people of Cumaná.

Las magníficas puestas de sol

Amigos, quiero contarles que una de las cosas que más valoro de mi hogar son las impresionantes puestas de sol que nos ofrece la naturaleza. Cada vez que me tomo el tiempo para caminar por la avenida junto al monumento, me deleito con estas vistas, con estos maravillosos espectáculos, porque verlos es mucho más que una simple experiencia visual. Además, siento una profunda gratitud por la belleza que me rodea y por la oportunidad de disfrutar de un espectáculo tan grandioso. Contemplar estas puestas de sol es una experiencia que nutre el alma y renueva el espíritu. Por eso es imposible no sentir un apego por cada uno de estos momentos que se producen donde vivo, ya que a través de ellos descubro la verdadera esencia de la vida.

Friends, I want to tell you that one of the things I value most about my home is the breathtaking sunsets that nature offers us. Every time I take the time to walk along the avenue next to the monument, I delight in these views, in these wonderful spectacles, because seeing them is much more than just a visual experience. Furthermore, I feel a deep gratitude for the beauty that surrounds me and for the opportunity to enjoy such a magnificent spectacle. Contemplating these sunsets is an experience that nourishes the soul and renews the spirit. That is why it is impossible not to feel an attachment to each of these moments that occur where I live, as through them I discover the true essence of life.
