RE: Has OpenAI achieved AGI with its recent model or did it already happen?

People used to think of AGI in terms of being human like. An intelligence that could actually develop things like emotions and unique personalities...maybe pick up a hobby. Something similar to Data from Star Trek maybe. If defined with those traits, I don't even think LLMs are the path to AGI. If those kinds of things don't factor into AGI then I think we've already been there for a while and it's a label that doesn't mean all that much.
