One Direction a.k.a 1D is a boy band that will be remembered by Millenials to Gen Z. When One Direction was active in bringing performances to people, Millenials to Gen Z were in their school/college life and already in the step of finding their first love. One of the songs that I always remember when I'm in school life is "What Makes You Beautiful" which usually continues with "One Thing". Sometimes I see a friend or other use this song for their girls too. It's kinda hit at that time.

One Direction consists of Niall James Horan a.k.a Niall Horan (born 13 September 1993), Liam James Payne a.k.a Liam Payne (born 29 August 1993), Harry Edward Styles a.k.a Harry Styles (born 1 February 1994), Louis William Tomlinson a.k.a Louis Tomlinson (born 24 December 1991), and Zain Javadd Malik a.k.a Zayn Malik or Zayn (born 12 January 1993). They were together from 2010 to 2015. Maybe some of us already don't remember them as a group of boy bands again as they are taking their path solo in their music career. It's named "boy band" for a reason tho.

*A boy band is loosely defined as a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation.

They were formed and known from The X Factor 2010 and after that, their journey began. The journey to become a boyband is not as easy as other careers and they were young back then. On August 30th, 2023, The X Factor UK YouTube shared the unseen and extended footage of them after their journey on The X Factor.
