Possible, but not probable. This is the invasion of Panama by the USA rerun. Same reason given for toppling the Noriega regime... drugs. The real reason for taking out Noriega was control of the Panama canal.

PS: USA he already had access to that oil through contracts with Maduro. Russia and China also want that oil.
Could be. In any case, Trump stated today that the USA would be running the government of Venezuela and sending oil companies down there to take over oil operations. Just repeating what Trump stated.
