The empty space on the table and in hearts, sometimes supplied by a grandfather, an important figure, who manages to collaborate a lot. But it is not possible to replace a parent. Not completely.

Neste domingo comemoramos o Dia dos Pais. Uma data que atinge todos os seres humanos, que afeta a todos, fazendo emergir os mais diversos sentimentos. Isso porque cada um de nós tem uma experiência diferente com a paternidade.

Aquilo que convencionou-se chamar de família tradicional tem na figura do pai não só o gerador, mas também o ponto de apoio forte da família. O dever de suprir as necessidades é alcançado mediante muito trabalho, o que também o torna possivelmente ausente.

Em outras famílias, o pai foi só o gerador, e a ausência dele é a regra. O abandono, a rejeição. É indescritível como afeta o desenvolvimento dos filhos. Neste caso, a ausência vem acompanhando da raiva.

Em outros casos, a ausência vem acompanhada da saudade. Ele se foi cedo demais?

O espaço vazio na mesa e nos corações, algumas vezes suprido por um avô, um figura que é importante, que consegue colaborar muito. Mas não é possível substituir um pai. Não completamente.

Então neste Dia dos Pais se você tem alguém para quem agradecer, seja um pai literal ou um "quase pai completo", faça isso! Agradeça pelo que você teve ou tem, pelo tempo que você teve ou tem. Seja grato!
