My family's tradition of "Easter Egg Hunt"

Hello my friends, how are you?

I can consider myself a quite ordinary person, as I consider myself quite a homebody and that busy night life in my youth no longer interests me. Of course, I enjoy going to the cinema, going to a park or visiting a Zoo and these trips I usually take with my family that I have built over my years.

But I prefer to have some celebrations at home. With the family bond we have acquired, I tend to create situations that make it worthwhile and that create good memories for my three children. Of course, birthdays are dates that I like to celebrate and even despite some periods, financial difficulties tend to get in my way, but that's no reason to let these special days of the people we love go unnoticed.

I think that organizing events with your family or even your friends is a great way to create unforgettable memories and for those who are children and grow up seeing these things every year, this has a much stronger and more exciting meaning. There are things that I would really like to be able to create a weekly or perhaps monthly routine like “pizza day” or “hamburger day”, but who knows if this might be possible in the not so distant future.

Easter Egg Hunt

Here in Brazil, as well as in most other countries, the tradition of eating chocolate eggs at Easter is very popular. Stores prepare in advance to decorate their environments and we begin to see that “river of eggs” above our heads. Without a doubt, for those who love chocolate, this date is one of the most special.

But here, inflation has affected many families too much in recent years. It's sad to see that in the past we could have much better purchasing power than today. I still remember that it was possible for us to buy Easter eggs for both ourselves and other family members, but today it is a very difficult task, especially if you don't have a lot of money.

That's why my wife and I started making our own chocolate eggs. We buy everything from materials to chocolate bars and you know what? It was the best decision we made, because with the amount we bought the chocolate bars and the shapes and molds we already have, it's much cheaper and it's possible to have chocolate for everyone. Because there are already five of us in my family, so it’s a big number.

As we make our eggs, I've created a tradition of making mini chocolate eggs for our kids to look for, it's quite fun and they really enjoy it. I always leave them in my room and hide them. When I finish, I tell them to start looking and it's logical that the youngest I always try to help more since nowadays, my daughter is still too young to be able to look for it alone.

The funniest thing is that this year, we didn't have to find an egg, usually we make 30 mini eggs out of some eggs the size of 250 grams that I make for each one. About the lost egg, it was only found three days later. LOL

It was on my keychain inside my cap, which I usually leave there, like the car key is there too and sometimes I go out with my cap, I leave it there too so I can find it more easily, because I'm that type of person who, if I'm careless, with something, it's easy to lose her in the house.

Another thing that my wife and I like to do is give symbolic gifts to our children's teachers, as we are also teachers and we know that our class is unfortunately undervalued here. We always try to do something, even if it's simple, to honor our children's teachers. This year, we gave chocolate bars.

This egg hunt tradition I hope my children can do the same and it will be really cool to see my grandchildren in the future also participate. I really value these things that a father passes on to his son and if it's up to me, I'll do my best to make this tradition last for many years.

Olá meus amigos, tudo bem com vocês?

Posso me considerar uma pessoa bastante comum, pois me considero bem caseiro e aquela vida agitada nas noites em minha juventude não me interessam mais. É claro que aprecio ir ao cinema, ir a um parque ou visitar um Zoológico e esses passeios costumo fazer com minha família que construí ao longo dos meus anos.

Mas prefiro fazer algumas comemorações em casa. Com o laço familiar que adquirimos, costumo criar situações que façam valer a pena e que façam boas memórias para os meus três filhos. É claro que aniversários são datas que gosto de celebrar e mesmo apesar de alguns períodos a dificuldade financeira costuma me atrapalhar, mas isso não é motivo de deixar passar em branco esses dias especiais das pessoas que amamos.

Acho que construir eventos que sejam com seus familiares ou mesmo com seus amigos são uma ótima forma de criar recordações inesquecíveis e para quem é criança e cresce vendo a cada ano essas coisas, isso tem um significado bem mais forte e emocionante. Tem coisas que gostaria muito de poder criar uma rotina semanal ou talvez mensal como “o dia da pizza” ou o “dia do hambúrguer”, mas quem sabe se no futuro não tão distante isso possa ser possível.

Caça aos Ovos de Páscoa

Aqui no Brasil assim como grande parte de outros países, a tradição de comer ovos de chocolate na Páscoa é bastante apreciada. As lojas se preparam com antecedência para ornamentar seus ambientes e começamos a ver aquele “rio de ovos” em cima de nossas cabeças. Sem dúvidas de que para quem ama chocolate, essa data é uma das mais especiais.

Mas aqui, a inflação tem afetado demais muitas famílias nos últimos anos. É triste ver que antigamente podíamos ter um poder de compra bem melhor do que nos tempos atuais. Ainda lembro que era possível a gente comprar ovos de Páscoa para tanto para nós quanto para outros familiares, mas hoje é uma tarefa bem difícil, principalmente se não tem muito dinheiro.

Por isso que eu e minha esposa começamos a fazer nossos próprios ovos de chocolate. Compramos desde os materiais até as barras de chocolate e sabe de uma coisa? Foi a melhor decisão que tomamos, pois com o valor que compramos as barras de chocolate e com as formas e moldes que já temos guardado, é bem mais barato e é possível ter chocolate para todos. Até porque em minha família já somos cinco então é um número grande.

Como nós fazemos nossos ovos, criei uma tradição de fazer mini ovos de chocolate para nossos filhos procurarem, é bastante divertido e eles gostam muito. Eu sempre deixo eles no meu quarto e vou esconder. Quando termino, falo para eles começarem a procurar e é lógico que o caçula sempre busco ajudar mais já que hoje em dia, é a minha filha ainda é bem pequena para conseguir procurar sozinha.

O mais engraçado é que neste ano, faltou encontrarem um ovo, geralmente a gente faz 30 mini ovos fora alguns ovos do tamanho de 250 gramas que faço para cada um. Sobre o ovo perdido, só foi encontrado três dias depois. LOL

Ele estava no meu chaveiro dentro do meu boné que costumo deixar lá, como a chave do carro fica lá também e às vezes saio com o boné, deixo lá também para eu encontrar mais facilmente, pois sou daquele tipo de pessoa que se eu me descuidar com alguma coisa, sou fácil de perder ela na casa.

Outra coisa que gostamos de fazer eu e minha esposa é de presentear mesmo de forma simbólica os professores dos nossos filhos, pois nós também somos professores e sabemos que nossa classe é desvalorizada aqui infelizmente. Sempre buscamos fazer algo mesmo que de forma simples para homenagear os professores de nossos filhos. Neste ano, demos barras de chocolate.

Essa tradição da caçada aos ovos espero poder que meus filhos façam o mesmo e será bem legal ver meus netos no futuro de também participar. Valorizo demais essas coisas que um pai passa para o filho e se depender de mim, farei o possível que essa tradição dure por muitos anos.
