One final match on Sunday which will give out the final European ticket.

Racing Genk vs AA Gent

So this is the match between the 5th in Playoff 1 and the winner of Playoff 2. in the past this was played over 2 legs but now it's just 1 match with the playoff 1 team getting the home advantage. Even in the past when this was played over 2 legs, 9 out of the 10 times the playoff 1 team made it and the one time they failed it was a smaller surprise team that got in playoff 1 and ran out of steam. Another advantage of the playoff 1 team is that they have been used to play against teams at a high level and higher pace while the playoff 2 team mainly played low paced friendly matches. So these 2 aspects should give a clear advantage to Genk. For as far as form goes, Genk started the playoffs great, had a dip after a key loss against Club Brugge and started showing improvements again near the end. Multiple players have their last match (Vandevoordt, El Khannous) and I do expect the motivation to still be there for them the end in style. AA Gent didn't face much competition in Playoff 2 while they never really managed to impress that much. I do see them on a similar level quality wise compared to Genk and their new coach Vrancken who was fired by Genk because of this test match conflict could give them really good tactical pointers. I did take 0.3 units on Genk +0 @ 1.825 believing the home & playoff 1 advantage should count a bit bigger. I can't say I see a major edge though and a AA Gent win also wouldn't come as a major surprise. I also took a 0.157 unit bet on 1H Under 1.25 @ 1.801 as it's rare for teams to go all out from the start in these high stakes matches.
