Meme Coin Portfolio Week 17 | Donke & Ponke !

I managed to flip a switch after being someone who cared a lot about fundamentals in crypto and started to get into Meme Coins with a small % of my overall portfolio trying to play this game and see how it goes. These are weekly update posts in what I believe could be a Meme Coin Summer...

Meme coins seem to be coming back to life this week with Ponke and Donke leading the way for my Portfolio!

DONKE

$DONKE is one of those coins that I kind of got emotionally invested is which might cloud my Judgement as its ultra-low-cap and high risk. I managed to first get in around 280k market cap liking the meme as it feels like a good alternative for everyone that missed out on Ponke. The community was active and I liked the art plus the fact that it got listed on Coingeicko and later Coinmarketcap. I quickly within a couple of days went to 4 Million in market cap which had me holding 9000$ of it at the peak. Greed only had me sell a tiny bit after the top was already in and a bit later the devs pulled out which dumped the price.

Luckily there was a big enough community which took over and they have done a great job so far getting to the point where I would say a group of 15-20 believers hold 65%+ of the supply with an eye to hold longer turn (or at least not to dump before 500k-1M Market Cap). They managed to hired an animator and got their socials in place with an eye to start spreading some advertisement around. This now slowly but surely starting to kick in with more new buyers and people joining the discord. (from 449 to 490 last week). I did manage to get my bag of 1% of the supply locked and I don't intend to sell anything before 400k+ market cap. If anything, it's fun to have a big moonbag of a really low cap coin and I'm looking forward to see how it will play out going forward.

PONKE

$DONKE

I also managed to fill my big of PONKE before it really took off as I see it as something with the potential to do really well this cycle despite the already 200M+ Market cap. I do aim to have a balanced Memecoin portfolio with Both bigger and smaller coins on different chains as it only takes 1 to really take off and make the overall value go up a lot. Ponke is one of those I could not leave out given how much activity there is on social media. It's far less exciting compared to Donke though as the gap is x1700 or so.

Selling Politify!

Trenp got a pump last week due to the assassination attempt which offered a chance to start getting out as I kind of lost my belief in both Trenp and Boden. There are just too many trump coins and I'm not sure that the ones that make fun of Trump and Boden will be the winners. There are so many Trump related coins and I don't want to get in when the marketcap is already big as Boden if anything showed how quickly these can come down.

A case could be made for Boden to be back in an accumulation zone but I don't believe it will ever go back to 500M and at this point see every pump as an opportunity to get out and just take the loss.

New Week Watchlists!

I missed out on some buying opportunities of coins I had on my watchlist (Mamba, Tooker, Gummy, HarrypotterObamaSonic10Inu) and I'm not going to chase the pumps, instead, I always just try to look at what's down and potentially accumulate those. I am keeping them on my radar for a possible re-entry. None are also to the point that I really believe in them long-term.

REDO is a coin that is down -17% last week and I might get my bag up from currently 500 to 1000 coins (or 1200 so I have 200 to take profit into in case it would have a big pump). Telegram (TON) was the most talked about Chain for a while as potential giant as there are so many people using it with the Tap games showing crazy numbers. It remains a hassle to get funds on TON as I need to get to Kucoin since it's not trading on Binance. I do want to increase my exposure on it a bit though so I might put in the work to get some more in at current price range which seems to have bounced off the support line.

ROOST is another one that has gotten hit really hard and the current Market Cap below 5 Million doesn't really add up to the crazy big and active community this one has. I can easily see it have a 100% punp at some point in time even though I don't have any connection to it at all. I'm also down quite big on what I initially put in but if anything I see it as an opportunity to multiply my bag as it doesn't look like it will really go dead anytime soon.

BRETT has also lagged behind this week but still is in a upward move and looking very strong overall despite the fact that it's already over 1 Billion on Market Cap. It is by far my biggest bag but I'm looking to buy back the 100 BRETT I sold near the top.

A Chart that looks dead (like Donke) but could get a huge rebound pump is LOA (Law Of Attraction on Base). I already have a decent bag of it but these low market cap coins are so tempting to take a bigger gamble on as they are the only realistic way to make massive gains in this space.

I might go ahead and buy a bit more of all of these 4 later today and will bring report of it next week. I wasn't going to be putting extra money in so I will have to find some here and there to make the purchases.

Conclusion

I'm still having plenty of fun with these Memecoins especially now that they start to pump again. I will see how it continues to evolve. A week is an eternity in meme coin world so I'll be back in 7 days with the next update...
