Keeping Serenity: #slowlivingsunday
I'm a born teacher whose days are always loaded with deliveries. Most times I don't even have time to relax even after work. I teach from class to class, trying to make sure the students understand the concept of what I'm teaching them. Teaching mathematics as a subject is just too great and interesting, but the students or most students have seen Mathematics as the tug of war among their subjects. This is why most of them do ask; “who invented Mathematics and why must they make it compulsory for schools?” Although, that's their mindset, which I'm always trying my best to correct. I have been working too hard to make them understand their thoughts clearly from being negative thinkers in the subject to positive thinkers. Minimizing such minds was not easy, but I have tried to bring us to least 75% from their sleeping bed.
It takes me all day to work to achieve my aim in the realm of teaching Mathematics. So, finding time to go to class, meet deliverables and time to relax has not been easy, but I have been struggling to minimize it to my best ability. Some time ago, I collapsed while working round the clock, but this time, I have come up with a means of putting my head down as relaxing sometimes. It's not easy, but then I have to make my plans happen because time spent without relaxing is not a good time for a healthy living.
I have just Sundays and every so often it most times Saturdays except in rare cases where I have to work on Saturday by teaching the terminal classes. Since the terminal classes are out now, I have the whole Saturdays for myself to relax and chill out with my wife.

My children are paramount, as well as my wife. I live a couple of kilometres from home just searching for daily bread, but do come home every weekend. Sometimes Fridays and sometimes Saturdays. It's a good stress day, but I just have to find a time to make my head relaxed.
I use Sundays to relax, so well after service from the church.
Sometimes, instead of following my friends on outing just to waste my money, I would love to remain indoors and sleep. In another way, I would choose to go to the eatery with my family just to cut unnecessary costs.
The only person who knows how to cut costs the most is my wife. She has taught me how to cut costs and how to be minimalist in whatever thing I'm doing. She would decide to go to the market to buy things she can use to cook a good meal for us to eat, rather than taking the money to an eatery to buy food that cannot satisfy someone. Likewise, she said to me that, with this, she can be able to save some money.
One Sunday, I told my wife I should take her for an outing, but she said give me the money and let me use it to cook a good meal in the house, instead.
Saturday morning, I always carry out exercise in my house. I would do 25 press up and other exercises while at home, but it must be in the morning. Most people go to the gym centre to carry out exercise where they have to pay heavily, but to cut the cost, I don't have to go to the gym, instead I would carry out the exercise in my house.
Calmness, to be sincere is a choice we just have to make, but whatever way, it is good. Most people go for meditation, where they have to meditate on the past and forget about their worries. I don't have to do that, instead , I would rather choose to remain silent in my bed and meditate on my worries, which would in turn bring me the peace ever.

I read to the part you mentioned exercising and I burst into laughter 😂
This post just reminded me of how I haven't been keeping to the daily press up I initiated earlier last month.😂 It's hard to start a routine that one is not used to.
Your wife is a good woman with her preference of having the meal cooked at home to spending the thousands in the eatery. Although, one still needs to go out once in a while
The way you juggle work, family, rest, and financial wisdom is commendable. Many people struggle to find balance, yet you're consciously striving for it, even after experiencing the toll it can take on your health.

I really admire how you’ve found your own calm routine despite such a busy teaching life. It’s beautiful how your wife supports this balance too. Thanks for sharing
