Forget, phone was fun in those days

I remember giving all my groundnut to a friend just because I wanted to play snake game on his phone, my friend had a Sagem phone and I was with groundnut that I just bought, I was to play the game from level one to two, while he finish all my groundnut, i laughed when I see games everywhere on peoples phone these days, because that thing was not easy to have, games was so difficult to download into phone, and even if you want to download it, where would you take the phone to do so.

To download something from the internet, was like a course a person needs to study before he graduates and gets through, imagine when you want to download something from the internet, and you have to firstly take a permission from the service provider to grant you access that would make you access the internet.

Then your service provider wouldn't have to sent you accesspoint just like that, without them asking you so many questions, "like, where is your location? what's your name? and how old are you?", and before you answered all these questions, your battery is going to shift from the top bar to the lower bar.

And even when they have managed to sent these accesspoint to your phone, you have to look for someone to save it and installed it successfully into your phone for it to work normally.

I remember calling the service centre so many times because I was having a complaint to make, about my internet accesspoint that was not working again, even after I have installed it for two times straight up in a week.

And you know the funniest part, that day I wanted to download Rihanna's picture, it wasn't even games that I want, I was having a lot of games on my phone, but what I wanted to do was to download those eyes catchy pictures of Rihanna, that I saw in my friend's screensaver.

I asked my friend to sent the picture to me through an infrared and we sat at a place, the place wasn't so cool, and you know what?, we didn't even mind the sun on us, as we didn't give a thought about it, we were there for hours, trying to sent a picture through our phones infrared but the thing didn't work as we want.

It was always a joy to be able to sent a picture across phones, because not all phones has the capability to receive media files, and if a person has a phone that can receive files from another, the person would be respected, I remember respecting everything about my friend because he had a phone that received files through infrared, his own phone infrared didn't used to bounce media files, while mine used to.

The day I managed to download some Rihanna's pictures through the help of my friend, I went home and I showed the pictures to my siblings and they were so happy to see it, I remember my cousin asking me "how did I managed to download those pictures, when the accesspoint that was sent to me wasn't compatible with my phone?"

And then my cousin make me know something that, I should have taken the time to download Nelly's and Kelly Rowland's pictures, since those two peoples pictures were also beautiful too, and from that moment, I had to try surfing the internet on my own, because I want the pictures of Nelly and Kelly Rowland.

I tried going back to the webpage where I can access internet pictures, but the strength of network in my area was not so good to process through, I had to go again to my friend's house, I asked him to teach him, "how he manage to gets those pictures from the internet".

And on that day, my friend was picking palm kernel for his mama, so he asked me to tag along, and helped him, so that at the end when we are finished with the duty, he would teach me how to download those pictures with my phone.

After the duty, my friend collected my phone and get on this webpage, would i called those webpage an analog website?, maybe that name may suit all of them, because those sites were so heavy to get a content out, when my friend was trying to download a file from the webpage, it shows "accesspoint denied", my friend has to get another accesspoint from the service provider again, as the accesspoint was sent, he installed it, but there were no data again on the phone, so I have to go back home and take my mother's money.

Now back to finish the project, i bought a recharge cards, and i load it, we didn't even knows that to surf the internet, we should have buy data bundle with the recharge card, but we were using the recharge card like that, and my friend enter the analog webpage again, immediately he click on the pictures we were looking for, messages start entering the phone that i have used up my airtime.

I didn't have the pictures, so I went back home, and I met my mother standing with her bicycle, she was about going to the market, but she could not see the money she kept at home, before I knew it, father came out and grab me, that was the day my phone was taking away from me.

Father seized my phone and stopped me from getting another one.
