Normal Medical Tests became Insanely Costly
Today I had an acute pain in my chests from the morning and I ignored it. But at the evening when it came unbearable then I have to go to the doctor. Instead of going directly to the doctor, I went to do ECG. The ECG is the one which tells you if the heart is functioning properly or not.

The ECG was not that costly, and I had to pay around $5 for the tests. The tests was not normal and they have asked me to consult a doctor. The doctor said that they don't trust the ECG and wanted me to do the ECG again along with that one Triponine I test. The bill was around $40 including the consultation charges. This was just for 2 tests and one consultation.
I know $40 for a doctor visit might not be huge somewhere but out here it is a big deal. And that too $40 for 2 tests is quite expensive. And thus I have to shell out thar money. But at last it was nothing serious. I had a pain because of gastric but since the location was same then I panicked a bit and I had to undergo those tests.
But the thing is the tests are getting expensive day by day. The same tests used to be around $10 and now gone upto $40 in just 2 years. And this will keep on happening because of the medical inflation. The medical inflation is motivated 6% or even 10%, it is much more than that. And will continue to rise. And that's the reason having a health insurance is so very important. But in India, the tests or consultation is not covered in the insurance so even of we have the insurance we have to shell out the money.

I am so happy having public health insurance in Germany. I cannot understand, that a country as India, which has lots of potential and some very strong companies is not able to intrduce such treats for its people 😲
