Is Combining Cards Good

Splinterlands is an online collectible card game using the blockchain technology. Every user will need cards to play the game, these cards or assets are NFTs (Non-Fungible Token) which can be traded. These cards is used to play against other players. Now every card will have the unique ability and they are divided between Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary. The more the ability, the more it can help you to win the games and the more expensive it becomes.

The last week was good for me as I was able to play a lot for games and I can win some of the games too. It's not that I won a lot of games, but still its better than previous weeks. And when you play more games or rather win more games you will earn more Glint rewards and thus you can use that Glint rewards to get some cards. These cards can be common, Rare, Epic and Legendary and thus you can use these cards to play in the game.

It's not that we get very good cards from the Glint rewards but still it is good to play with it. I have used a lot of Glint rewards card to play in the game and win a lot. Now the problem with Glint rewards is that you get limited variety of card. Then when you buy more cards from the Glint rewards, you will get same cards multiple times.

As you can see in the above image I have Chaos Evoker which has multiple cards. I have combined some of the cards to get to the level 2 and along with that I also have 1 card of level 1. Now I have an option to combine the cards and get to the level 2 itself with 6/14 cards. So is it worth it. Now combining card is good when we can increase the level, but it's not good to combine the cards.

A lot of people are also trying to get rid of the cards if they are nit increasing their level and for that it's better to keep that card as a normal card and not combine that card. I combine the cards to get to the next level only and if I get extra cards, I will keep it as it is. And a lot of people if they reach to the max level, they try to start selling those extra cards so that they can buy other cards.

It's better to sell the cards which are not in used so that you can buy the cards which you can use it to play. And that's how you can rotate the cards. For example, if you have a card which you are not playing much or if you have a lower level card and you don't want to upgrade it then you can sell those cards or even rent it. In that way the card will not be worthless and you can use to to a purpose. Once you sell it, you can buy some more cards either to level up your existing cards or to buy some cards which are not there in your cards list.

With the new design you can see how many cards you have. For example, these are some of my cards where I can see the number of cards for each one. As you can see Chaos Evaker is having 2 varieties. One with level 2 and one with level 1 and that's how the multiple cards are shown in your item list.

And that's how either you can combine your cards and level up or you can sell off or rent it off so that you can utilize the extra cards.
