Before addressing my battle you can see this post where I am victorious using taunt with ferocity present, and you can also see this one where my opponent used taunt with fury and I was able to beat him easily, what made the difference between victory and defeat? The strategy used, as simple as that. In each of my posts I emphasize a good strategy because that is what will give you the victory at the end of the day.

Ferocity es una condición de batalla que otorga la habilidad de Fury a todo el equipo, esta habilidad permite a todos los monstruos hacer el doble de daño a las cartas que posean Taunt. Fue una de las nuevas habilidades que llegaron juntamente con la edición Riftwatchers y su implementación sirve solo contra las cartas que tengan Taunt, en ese sentido si no usas una carta con dicha habilidad no corres peligro, se vuelve una condición inerte. Pero, ¿te has arriesgado a usar Taunt cuando ferocity está presente? Ese es el otro camino a tomar, yo lo he hecho y me ha ido bien, sin embargo hay que tener una estrategia poderosa para que pueda funcionar.

Antes de abordar mi batalla puedes ver este post donde salgo victorioso usando taunt con ferocity presente, y también puedes ver este otro donde mi rival uso taunt con fury y lo pude vencer fácilmente, ¿Qué marco la diferencia entre la victoria y la derrota? La estrategia utilizada, así de simple. En cada uno de mis post hago énfasis en una buena estrategia porque eso es lo que te dará la victoria al final de cuentas.

Now, my battle apart from ferocity had two more rulesets, the second of them was "Broken arrows", as its name suggests, this condition does not allow the use of cards with ranged attack, they are out of the competition so you can only count with magic attack and melee.

The third and last condition was the "born again" sensation, who doesn't like this condition? It's a complete wonder and if you combine it with Martyr and bloodlust boom! Power to infinity... I really love it, and every time it's present I try not to waste it and take advantage of it as much as I can, even in this battle I did.

Ahora bien, mi batalla aparte de ferocity conto con dos rulesets mas, la segunda de ellas fue “Broken arrows”, tal cual su nombre indica, esta condición no permite el uso de cartas con ataque a distancia, quedan fuera de la competición por lo que solo se puede contar con ataque mágico y melee.

La tercera y última condición fue la sensación “born again”, ¿a quién no le gusta esta condición? Es una completa maravilla y si la combinas con Martyr y bloodlust ¡bum! Poder hasta el infinito… de verdad que me encanta, y cada vez que está presente trato de no desperdiciarla y aprovecharla lo más que puedo, incluso en esta batalla lo hice.

Let's see my battle

Taking into account the available rulesets I proceeded to formulate the strategy, I would have liked to use a larger number of cards but due to the 13 mana points available I could only use 2 apart from Rathe who was my summoner. Low mana battles are not as easy as they seem, they have a rather high difficulty range in my thinking, sometimes it is a 1 vs 1 because the other cards are just "bulk" although they also have their function in such combats. With so little mana I couldn't use cards with taunt as they usually have quite a lot of mana so I went for the easy way and that made ferocity totally inactive against me. In the first position I used furious chicken who thanks to Rathe and the born again condition would be quite useful, and as main attacking force my Captain Katie, a brutal sniper with Bloodlust and magic in her arsenal.

Teniendo en cuenta las rulesets disponibles procedí a la formulación de la estrategia, me habría gustado usar un número mayor de cartas pero debido a los 13 puntos de mana disponibles solo pude utilizar 2 aparte de Rathe quien fue mi invocador. Las batallas de bajo mana no son tan sencillas como parecen, tienen un rango de dificultad bastante elevado en mi pensamiento, en ocasiones es un 1 vs 1 porque las otras cartas son solo “bulto” aunque tienen también su función en dichos combates. Con tan poco mana no pude usar cartas con taunt ya que suelen tener bastante mana así que me fui por el camino más fácil y eso hizo que ferocity estuviera totalmente inactiva en mi contra. En la primera posición utilice a furious chicken quien gracias a Rathe y a la condición de born again me sería bastante útil, y como fuerza principal de ataque mi Captain Katie, una francotiradora brutal con Bloodlust y magia en su arsenal.

Cursed windeku was his tank but I couldn't take advantage of his spines because I didn't use physical attack and in the second row there were only targets for my captain, only his magical bloodsucker could present a threat but because of born again he couldn't do much against me, although without this rule maybe he would have become a real problem as soon as my Furious chicken died.

El combate dio inicio y al ver los monstruos de mi rival supe que tenía la victoria asegurada, Cursed windeku fue su tanque pero no podía aprovechar sus espinas debido a que no use ataque físico y en la segunda fila solo habían blancos para mi capitana, solo su chupa sangre mágico podría presentar una amenaza pero a causa de born again no pudo hacer mucho en mi contra, aunque sin esta regla quizás se habría convertido en un verdadero problema apenas muriese mi Furious chicken.

In the third round my chicken had died and my captain was against his Windeku and his bloodsucker, the advantage was that by that time Katie had reached +9 health and +5 magic attack, she was also protected with armor from the physical attack, so she received very little damage, and in contrast she generated a lot of damage to the opponents because of her powerful attack.

En el tercer round mi gallinita había muerto y mi capitana estaba contra su Windeku y su chupasangres, la ventaja es que para ese entonces Katie había alcanzado +9 puntos de vida y +5 de ataque mágico, además se protegía con armadura del ataque físico, por lo tanto recibió muy poco daño, y en contraposición generaba mucho daño a los rivales a causa de su poderoso ataque.

Even so the battle would go until the sixth round, longer than expected but also more beneficial for my captain, in this round she was doing +7 magic damage for all that had been strengthened thanks to her bloodlust, with this power her only rival could do nothing, no matter how hard he hit just one attack of Katie was enough to finish with his few 4 points of life, and with this blow the victory was sealed.

Aun así la batalla llegaría hasta el sexto round, más larga de lo previsto pero también más beneficiosa para mi capitana, en este round estaba haciendo daño mágico de +7 por todo lo que se había fortalecido gracias a su bloodlust, con este poder su único rival nada podía hacer, por muy fuerte que golpeara tan solo basto un ataque de Katie para acabar con sus escasos 4 puntos de vida, y con este golpe la victoria estaba sellada.
