š» A Friendly Welcome at FriedrichstraĆe ā The MeliĆ” Bear

Some encounters in Berlin are planned. Others simply happen.
The MeliĆ” Bear belongs to the second category.
I found him standing calmly in the lobby of the MeliĆ” Berlin Hotel on FriedrichstraĆe, right between soft armchairs, glass faƧades, and the constant movement of the city outside. And somehow, despite the business suits rolling past with their suitcases, he felt perfectly at home.
šØ MeliĆ” Berlin ā A Hotel in the Middle of Everything
The MeliĆ” Berlin sits in one of the cityās most central locations, directly on FriedrichstraĆe, only a few steps from the Spree and not far from Museum Island. Itās the kind of hotel that works equally well for business travelers rushing between meetings and for tourists who want to explore Berlin on foot.
Inside, the atmosphere is calm, modern, and welcoming. The hotelās restaurant is a pleasant surprise ā a place where you can actually enjoy sitting down, whether for breakfast, lunch, or a relaxed dinner after a long day in the city.
š» The Bear with the Convincing Smile
And then there is the bear.
Colorful, confident, and quietly smiling, the MeliĆ” Bear doesnāt shout for attention. He doesnāt need to. His expression is open and reassuring, almost as if heās saying: Youāre fine. Take a breath. Youāve arrived.
I like him.
Not because heās impressive or loud, but because his smile feels honest. In a city that can be hectic and overwhelming, he offers something rare: a small moment of friendliness without irony.
š§ A Small Detail, A Lasting Impression
Berlin is full of big gestures ā monuments, statements, history. But sometimes itās the smaller things that stay with you. A bear in a hotel lobby. A quiet smile. A reminder that hospitality is not only about rooms and services, but about atmosphere.
If you pass through the MeliĆ” Berlin, take a moment to say hello to the bear.
Heās very convincing.
Ciao Kakao, your Morticia
š» Ein freundlicher Empfang an der FriedrichstraĆe ā Der MeliĆ”-BƤr

Manche Begegnungen in Berlin plant man. Andere passieren einfach.
Ciao Kakao, Eure Morticia
