WHO HAS GOT JUST ONE NICKNAME?? DEFINITELY NOT ME!
Almost everyone has got a nickname from someone or from someplace, whether you get called that name by just one person or a group and/or whether the name lasts for a brief moment or for a long time. And for some, there happens to be some circumstances surrounding been given that name.

The prompt question asked, "do you have a nickname?"... for me and those of us who have numerous nicknames, how do we go about this article?
For as long as I think I can recall, I’ve had nickname(s) from school, mongst friends, at home, various places… just name them. Till date I have varying nicknames that different people call
me by.
So at my house, we all go by nicknames. I/we have all gotten used to it that calling each other by our real names seem weird. Every one of my siblings has a name for me just as I do for them and they do for the rest of of our siblings(hey! I just realized that everyone of them has a general nickname we address them by but I am the only one who has got a nickname from each of them).
Unfortunately, in response to this prompt, no nickname trumps and/or is more popular than the other so I cannot categorically state one as…the nickname. You grab?
Back in high school, I bore names as: sko-sko,, Chiamaks,, my Princezz, Lovinto and a few others and till date, they still stand. One or two teachers had names for me too. After then, I went on to amass others. And yes, prior to that time, I had nicknames which people call me by. Surprisingly, I barely get a name that I was uncomfortable with.
Back at my house, I have names ranging; Kiki, Number one, Adanne, Mbo-mbo, Bruv/Boss/Baby, which my siblings call me respectively. For every one of them I have a name too. Should any one of these my siblings call me by my real name(that is if they remember it...lol), that will come as a surprise to me and I will be sure that the reason is for something serious.
There are a whole lot of names also, like; my darling, white woman, etc which I get called too but those other ones are the most heard and used, I think for obvious reasons.
I think "Ntekasi" was/is the only nickname I got which I can recall it's origin. The word is Igbo which translates to mean 'writer'. I was always scribbling stuff, always had jotters and diaries and somehow, a friend gave me the name. It was funny and annoying then tho.
Now the reason why I do not really have just one nickname is because different people call me by different things and I don’t think any two people or any three people call me by one particular name so when I get to hear a nickname I go by from wherever, I know who exactly is calling me.
I'm super used to these names because they came from way back and none is derogatory so I would not want to change or stop being called any of them. Add some more nicer ones to the list? Oh, yes please!
Not sure I would appreciate a day when I no longer get called these names. There's just this excitement that comes with each of these names...I wish I could explain better
See, when it comes to nicknames, I don't know where to start calling them out. I just let it be.
There are just too many.
Thanks for gracing this post.
