I thought of mining XMR again too. I did it a few years ago but I don't know why I stopped. LTC mining would be interesting too. These are 2 coins who has been good for me in the past. Electricity is expensive here. I need some solar panels. XMR and LTC mining could work.
I agree with the DEFI and Web3 stuff. We saw a lot of hyped crypto stuff which died. I can't remember how many crypto games I played and how many NFTs I had and all the friends who went broke in these times.

Yeah, it's been wild times man, lol. But I have seen it from a bunch of different sides, attempting several businesses on different chains including Hive, and going back to what worked the best for me in the past, good ole mining, lol.
Solar is definitely the key for me. I need to build a bigger array to add my 2 DOGE/LTC ASICs, but the entire XMR farm is on solar.
How much power does the XMR miner consume? And which model do you have?
Whatever your CPU takes to run it. XMR is not mined by ASICs. I personally use Mac Mini M1 and M2s on the solar because of their extreme efficiency, resell value, and the fact that I have been an Apple guy for years, lol. I am looking to build a unit with a ryzen 9 fairly soon, but have to do some solar upgrades first.
Oh so it is still like it was back then. Nice... I have an old PC who could do the job. Do you post about the solar upgrade and mining experience? Would be nice to read about this.
yea! That is one of the things I love about XMR is they have managed to stay ASIC resistant and focus on CPU mining as it should be!
Yeah, that is really good. Mining which helps the blockchain should be doable for everyone. No expensive equipment and no high electricity costs.
it can be so much as starting up the mining software when you are not using the machine.
Like an idle mode or something like that.
