Freewrite #DailyPrompt: Edge Of The Town
Edge of town. This is a spooky place. A place where kids goes to play. A place where when our parents want to scare us they begin to tell us about certain strange stories that happened there but we still don't mind.
We still went to play when we were kids. We played here until night falls and with curiosity we still wanted to play. Sometimes I'm back at the edge of that wood and see trees scattered everywhere. The place seems sophisticated now, but I see it still holds more like I saw things going on in that place.
I had so much memory there, my heartkeeps racing where I crept to that place because of some of the experience there. It wasn't something that meaningful.
An old woman. One day I went there I saw an old man there. She was strange, she was looking strange. She was eating the fire honestly. I haven't seen such a thing before. She looked up to me and smiled waving me in I said that she'd come. But I was afraid and I ran away.
But I got to find out that woodland was a very kind woman her name was maria and she wasn't scary as we thought she just loved to be quiet and to be alone since she lost her husband. The next day I went closer, she showed me a jar of wildflower that she made telling me a story of each and what it represented and the story.
The edge of the town wasn't as scary as I thought, it was a place for a peaceful stay. Just like Maria it was her sanctuary. So I left with the chair afterwards and it was like a new secret that I had to keep for her and now she has passed on.

Beautiful scene. Both depicted in your writing and the image you shared.
