My Timeless Home

In my city Caracas- Venezuela, there is a community that is very close to our beloved Avila mountain, in that sector, there are beautiful houses of all times, I mean that there are different types of buildings and architecture, but also in the midst of those beautiful houses, there are some in total abandonment, slowly deteriorating, a matter that draws much attention.

There is one in particular, that since I saw it has caught my attention. Every time I pass by my church every Sunday, I stop to see it and ask myself so many questions: who are its owners, why is it in total abandonment?... even though it seems that time has stopped there, you can still appreciate how beautiful it was in its past; possessing an ancient beauty, seeing its large windows, its old furniture, which can hardly be distinguished. Besides, it is located in a privileged area, where there are only houses of high urban cost.

Its presence seems to make a parenthesis between all that urban environment. It is impossible not to notice its timeless presence, which goes at the same time with the landscape, but, on the other hand, it seems that it does not belong there. The public can only appreciate it from afar, since it has no passage to its environments, it remains closed to the public; something that keeps me spellbound with curiosity.

I promise that if I ever manage to enter it, you will have the scoop and surely you will enjoy it as I surely will, I do not lose hope. In the meantime, I give you a little of its majesty and at the same time simplicity, surrounded by nature, making it look with a combination of mystery and abandon.
