What just happened over the past few hours, which is not uncommon in the crypto markets, is the exact reason I never use leverage. It's far too unpredictable (unless you have insider information, in which case, shame on you).

Totally agree. Leverage can amplify gains, but it’s a double-edged sword. One bad move in these volatile markets and you’re wiped out. I’ve seen it happen too many times. Sticking to spot trading keeps the stress levels way down
