I haven't really messed around with Waves too much. If at all I guess. Can you access it from inside the mobile app or is it desktop only?

Yes, it is accessible in the App plus on the Desktop! I use mostly in the App as it is more convenient.
I will have to look into it again.
I used it only in the mobile version of Ecency so far. It properly works on my Motorola Moto G22 (Android 12) smartphone. I can gladly recommend it to everyone.
