What does the bible say about names? - mcgi review topic by brother Eli Soriano

Names reveal someone identity, is significant, it also impact on someone's character, and also more valuable than riches, because the bible told us that a good name is better than riches talking about reputation and character over wealth.
The bible told us in the book of Ecclesiastes 7:1 that a good name is better than precious ointment.

Names always reflect the parents hope, emotions, or circumstances at the time of birth, for example Leah in the bible named her son Judah meaning praise because she wanted to praise the Lord.
Hannah named her son Samuel because she had asked God for him, and the name means "asked of God" or "heard of God.

God changes someone name so that you can have a new identity, or calling, for example in the book of Genesis 17:5 when God said "no longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of many nations.
Mathew 1:21 says that Mary will bear a son and she will name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins

On the ten commandments, the third one said, you shall not take the name of the lord your God in vain, because his name is holy
Acts 4:12 said there is no salvation in anyone's name, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved except the name of Jesus.
Christians are called to exalt and praise God's name, and anyone that call's on the name of the lord will be saved.
