What does the bible say about cremation and resurrection?- mcgi review topic by brother Eli Soriano

The bible did not completely forbid cremation, and it doesn't hinder the resurrection because God's power is not limited by the physical state of the body.
Cremation is a matter of choice, many people honoring their faith through different practices.
For example the burial of King Saul, King Saul remains were burned by warriors to stop them from being mistreated by their enemies.

The saying that the body returns to dust is a biblical concept, Genesis 3:19 says by the sweat of your brow you will eat your food, until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return".
Many people take cremation as the fastest way for the body to return to the original form.

Resurrection is God's power to restore life, not preserving a particular physical body, God has the ability to resurrect a body, it doesn't matter how it was disposed, either burned, buried or lost in the river.
Resurrection is the transformation of a corruptible body to an incorruptible spiritual body.

The soul and spiritual essence are the main reason for resurrection, not the physical body, the soul is what is saved and resurrected, not the physical body that everyone see and touch.
