To search for God you will need a focused heart through prayers, studying the bible, serving, worshipping, rejecting evil, doing good and also live humbly.
Jesus said in the book of Jeremiah 29:13 that we will seek him and find him, when we seek him with all our heart.

Search for God with your whole being, not only the part of your life.
In the book of Psalms 10:4 says pride is an obstacle, humility is essential to finding him.

Strive to be in his presence because it brings restoration rather than just seeking his power.
Try to develop an intimate relationship by seeking his face and character.

Pray and call on him for guidance and confess your sins.
Always read the bible to understand God's story and command.
Express love and devotion through praise and worship.
Serve God with a willing mind and always strive for peace.
Turn away from evil thought and actions.
Focus on fasting and prayer so that you will always seek God.
