Holy week - is it biblical? - Mcgi review topic by brother Eli Soriano

In my own opinion holy week is described as the final week of Jesus life, when he entered into Jerusalem, last supper, crucifixion and resurrection.
And also the event that form the holy week such as Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Palm Sunday is the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, which is written in the book of Matthew 21:1-11.

Maundy Thursday followed with the last supper that Jesus had with his desciples which is written in the book of Luke 22:14-20.
Good Friday is when Jesus was arrested, the trial and crucifixion which is all over the gospel like Matthew, mark, Luke and John.

Easter Sunday is when we celebrate Jesus resurrection which is written in the book of Luke 24:1-12.
The bible did not give a direct command for the observation of the holy week, it was the Christian's who developed the tradition of observing the period to remember the event's that led to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
