Do we need weapons for self protection? - mcgi review topic by brother Eli Soriano

According to the bible we have right to self protection, Exodus 22:2-3 states that if a thief is caught breaking in at night and is killed, the homeowner is not guilty of bloodshed. Permitting the owner of the house to defend themselves with more vigor than their possession.
Jesus told his disciples in Luke 22:36, "But now, the one who has a purse must take it, and likewise a knapsack. And the one who has no sword must sell his cloak and buy one". Which many people interpreted it as physical or self protective reason, especially when it comes to the dangerous roads.

In the book of Nehemiah 4 from 16 to 18 the bible talks about the rebuilding of the wall, it also told us that there was building and fighting among them, with men carrying weapons for protection.
Practically protecting oneself is often viewed as a wise action.

Romans 12:19 says that vengeance belongs to God, this verse normally thought us that we should not take matters into our hands.
2Corinthians 10:4 states that the "weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds". The weapons we are meant to use as christians are love, faith and prayer.

The bible said that spiritual warfare are depending on God's protection, above everything else, also said that our primary when anything happens show be on spiritual preparation than physical means.
