Death of children, what does the bible say about it? - mcgi review topic by brother Eli Soriano
The bible gives us comfort through God's presence with the grieving giving them assurance that God is near to those who are mourning .
Psalm 34:18 says "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit". It tells us that God is our comforter and the healer of our broken heart.
Matthew 5:4 is the second verse of the Beatitudes from the Sermon on the Mount, which reads, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted". This verse tells us that those who grieve over their child will find spiritual comfort and restoration from God.
In book of 2 Samuel 12:23 the bible tells us that after the death of David's son he had hope that one day he will be with his child, saying that he will go to him, but he will not return to him
God promised us in revelation 21:4 saying that he will wipe every tears from our eyes, and there will be no more death or crying, pain or mourning.
John 3:16 says that whoever believe in God will not perish but will have an everlasting life.
The bible told us that the young children and infants that died are not held accountable for sin because they haven't reach an age of accountability.
Matthew 18:14 says, it is not the will of my father who is in heaven that any of this little ones should perish.
