Building The Hive Future (Organic Marketing Revamped)
Over the last few months I've personally been gearing up for a number of changes. One that relates to this area is an increasing amount of time, energy and resources dedicated to the hive blockchain.
What I've Done In The Past
In the past I setup funnels to onboard people into LeoFinance and CubDefi.
The LeoFinance lead capture has been running on my main domain Bitcoinflood.com (which I'll be swapping out here in the near future with something fresh)
This lead capture is a bit dated now mainly because it push articles and tied them directly to finances so this entire thing needs to now be redone. However I believe the focus will be two fold. One focusing on articles because still that's the best way to earn your first sizeable revenue from Leo/Hive and the second section will go over threads. This project is currently in a revamp stage.
To this day this lead capture organically pushes around 5 sign ups a week. I really haven't touched it in forever and if I was more active on X etc this number would most likely bump all of this up. In the early days a little over a year ago this was pushing 3+ daily and these are quality leads not some junk leads.
CubDeFi lead capture was an attempt to expand on this as the DeFi markets at the time where boom.
However with both the CUB prices being in the dumps and the overall defi market struggling it seems pointless to work on this one anymore and it will be phased out.
The New Plan
Primarily the first phase is going to be all about the Hive Blockchain and promoting hive. With the Zealy 5000 HBD campaign it feels like a natural place to at least get started and have an incentive for building a email list. Who doesn't love some free crypto right!
The goal with this is going to not only onboard people to the campaign but also to have a way to contact them. Currently it's via email in which will go over about a week and a half of emails which outlines the following.
- Leaving comments on others posts and threads
- Threading themselves (easier entry and task than writing an article)
- Writing their intro article (Of which I can then track the sign up and provide a vote comment etc.)
- Hive keys, wallets etc
- day 8 their first hive payout and explain the rolling week payout
After the zealy campaign this will be changed into something more general and targeted to each group.
For example for those into gaming I'll be pushing a custom lead capture for Splinterlands and a few other games that are currently running.
Those into twitter/threading/web3 will be pushed towards leothreads.
Those into writing blog posts will be pushed to hive in general whatever front end offers the easiest barrier to entry.
How This Is Promoted
For right now it's a general promotion everywhere and anywhere. But later it will be targeted. As the example above with twitter/threads and web3 the links on twitter, threads and other short form sites will be to a custom lead capture that will focus on threads as it's the most natural method to get someone in and involved.
A Shift
Two years ago I started to heavily promote LeoFinance above anything else. But this shift is to focus a little more on Hive now as a whole instead of just LeoFinance stuff. It also means I'll be spending a vast majority of my working time about 3 hours daily on hive and hive marketing. At some point I may also start up the discord as an easy way to connect with new people on hive and be able to give them more one on one help.
I'm also going to start trying to focus on more status reports as things start to scale. Showing number of leads, highlighting new community hive members and so on. It's a rather large task but I feel like hive is a good place to be spending my time, resources and money to not only build up my "investment" but to also build things on the blockchain itself. It all starts with a loyal fan base to start and from there we grow the ecosystem.
