Yes, we celebrate 31st December, because it is the last day of the year, so it makes little sense to celebrate it because when we wake up the next day, the new year has already started. People are very excited on the 1st date, everyone has different goals and different plans, I don't know why but on the 1st-day people seem very excited to me and gradually the excitement cools down. On the 31st we call some family members over and have a small party. Our family members do not like many parties nor do I swear they give much importance to spreading happiness in their small family and that is good too. Because this also increases love. A large crowd and noise is not necessary every time.

Something special is made on that day, something clean for the veg people and something non-veg for the non-veg ones. Most of the members in the house are the ones sending food, so it is not that nothing is prepared for the non-vegetarians, it is prepared for them also. My father does not make any compromise in food and drinks and such things, nor has he ever done so. But as I had shared this time I can go out somewhere with my friends, as of now this is the plan, let's see what happens, even if I can't celebrate the 31st with my family this time, let's see.
