A trinket, new term and a foundry.

Trinket-Definition-Meaning-Merriam-Webster.png

Several weeks ago, I was reading through the CTP Discord, and I came across a message from @maddogmike discussing a new silver Hive piece. This required further investigation. Mike had included the link to the post of @silversaver888 and the silver announcement.

You can see that post here.

The silver piece is awesome and finely detailed. It is 1oz of pure silver and bears the Hive logo.

Hive ingot.jpg

So this is the trinket; the new term is INGOT

What is an INGOT?
I am glad you asked.

An ingot is a piece of relatively pure material, usually metal, that is cast into a shape suitable for further processing.

Ingot. (2023, January 22). In Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingot

This particular ingot is a bit different than the usual silver rounds that I collect.

Silver Hive compare.jpg

It is just bigger than a US quarter and is much thicker. This gives it a button shape, and I have seen these types of ingots referred to as buttons.

The foundry that I mentioned looks cool. They will do custom work just like this piece.

You can visit their site from here.

If you are interested in obtaining one of these pieces, reply to this post of @silversaver888. Purchases are made with HBD. What better way to market them?

I am very pleased with my purchase. I was also able to get a numbered piece.

It is a great addition to my silver collection. The only problem is that my online marketing mentor, @jongolson, always warns about shiny object syndrome, but I believe this is a good exception.

I have been collecting silver rounds for a little over a year.

Last year, @maddogmike introduced me to a service called Quick Silver that offers monthly delivery of silver coins.

This has worked out very well for me, and I have collected some interesting coins from all over the world.

Silver is a great investment. It's a great hedge against inflation. Currently-seriously undervalued. Enjoy your future wealth John with your growing silver hoard.

Very nice bro. I have been collecting silver for a while now. My problem is I can't buy online whether its trusted source or not. Its my preference to go to shop or seller. I tried it once and got a dud. I think thats how you spell it? I mean it was no good. Juts junk metals.

But one thing I do when in the US. I go to your banks and get 1/2 dollar rolls, and 25 cent rolls. especially those 1/2 dollars you can gind some silver ones. If before 1964 they are 90% silver. I have to look at my check list I created but i am sure its 1964 and older coins. US banks love me. I live in Canada and the bank by my cousin house already know me by name lol. And they talk to me in Portuguese, they think I don't speak english lol. My cousin lives in Fall river Mass. Yup I can't spell MASS the state. I always buy 5 rolls of 1/2 dollar, and 5 rolls of 25 cents USD. ANd yes there has been rolls where there is no silver coins. Thats a bummer.

I also forgot to mention with the 25 cents from 1965 to 1975 I could be off with that 1975 are about 35% silver. Remember i am trying to temember off my memory, my check list is in the car in case I need it when i'm at coin or precious metals shop. I even collect Canadian coins that are older for the silver. But CAD is just like monoply money, it doesn't mean shit, but to a Canadian. I've been to places in this world that when they see the CAD they start laughing. And they don't even want it. But USD everybody takes it. Canada, jts like many canadians i know have this problem with having their head stuck up thier ass as if they don;t want to see it. I'd force them all to stare at it.

Bt I do enjoy collecting these precious metal. I won't cash in any of them. They are their so when this world goes crazy, my family and I can still eat without robbing ppl. Does that hive ingot have paper work for authentisity? I am very interested in getting one or a few. I ususally liie to buy in 4's we are a family of 4.

Yes, it does have a certificate of authenticity.

I have no plans for selling any of my silver but like you, I would use it in a crisis when paper money ain't worth bupkas.

Thanks for the nice reply, Nelson
I appreciate it.

That looks nice, John! Glad you were able to get one.
Roy has a collection of silver ingots from his Dad.
He got them a long time ago. We should have them appraised someday.
Clever name for the foundry.

My previous @v4vapp proposal has expired. I have a new one which is running but unfunded right now. I'm still running @v4vapp and all my other services.

I've just updated v4v.app and I'm getting ready for some exciting new features after the next hard fork.

Please consider asking your friends to vote for prop #265 or consider unvoting the return vote.

For understandable reasons in the current crypto climate it is harder to get funded by the DHF, I accept this so I'm asking a wider audience for help again. I'll also add that I power up Hive every day and usually power up larger amounts on 1st of the Month. I'm on Hive for ideological reasons much more than for only economic benefit.

Additionally you can also help with a vote for Brianoflondon's Witness using KeyChain or HiveSigner

If you have used v4v.app I'd really like to hear your feedback, and if you haven't I'd be happy to hear why or whether there are other things you want it to do.

This is cool. I'm planning also to collect silver coins. This trinket will be in my collection because I'm starting to love the HIVE community. Still much to learn about this a bit complicated logic, but I'm making progress ...
