A day at the Fair

It has been years since I went to a county fair.

Years ago, it was an annual event for me and my family.

As we got older and the kids grew up, the tradition faded away.

This year, my daughter asked us to go with them to the fair, and it was hard to refuse since the day she selected was Senior Day, and everyone over 55 yrs old got in free.

So we went to the Fair. It was kind of a bummer when they did not ask to see our ID, 😂😂😂.

It was a very hot day today, but fortunately, most of the exhibits were in the air-conditioned Agriculture Center.

We did, of course, venture down the Midway to find something to eat. There was a large selection of typical fair foods. You know, deep-fried and fatty and generally unhealthy fair cuisine.

The next stop was the Animal Barn, which had the usual animal exhibits.

Afterwards, we went to the Rides area.
My grandson is four years old and has not ridden many Carnival rides yet.

The first stop was the Bumper Cars, where he rode with his dad.

The next ride did not allow adult riders, so he rode this one by himself.

He enjoyed it so much that he asked to ride it again, which he did. This was a bit of a tender milestone for my daughter, who sometimes struggles with her little boy growing up.

It was a good day, and the kids had a great time. What more could you ask for?
