Weekend court again

For the second weekend in a row, I went to the Portland Center to play badminton. I got in like 18 minutes ago and I've been alone in the court.

There are a lot more people playing table tennis. The demographics of the tennis players is very interesting, as it is mostly middle aged and old people playing.

I've found tennis to be a bit of a hassle to play but considering they're playing doubles, it should be less stressful if I joined them.

When I got to the court, there was a large group of guys playing but they were playing their last match when I got in. On the website, it says that the sessions start from 10am but considering how exhausted these guys were, it is safe to say that entrance is at least one hour before the stated time on the website.

There's a gym beside the court, so I'll be going in and out of it. I'll touch some dumbbells and do some curls for the culture while I wait for other players to show up.

Last week, some players turned up about an hour after I got in, so I reckon I'd be meeting a few. I also had a match against one player that said he'd come back today for his revenge. Worst case scenario is that nobody comes and in that case, I'll just do some cardio and pump in the gym.

Preparing to do some cardio and lift weights if nobody shows up demonstrates that you're ready to make the most out of your time, no matter what happens. It shows you're flexible and always looking for ways to stay active and productive.

Hopefully some people stopped by - it’s difficult in a sport to have no one to play with!
