Woven green tea cup, bookmark for my favorite reader☕📚
Greetings and blessings, my dear knitting friends. I hope you are all in good health and spirits and that you have a very productive week.
This Monday, I want to tell you that last week I knitted a cup-shaped bookmark, and honestly, I fell in love with it from the very first stitch. I knitted it as a gift for my daughter. She really enjoys those little daily rituals that combine reading with a nice cup of tea or coffee, so this little gift had to be for her.

Este lunes de agujas quiero contarles que esta semana pasada tejí un marcapáginas en forma de tacita y, sinceramente, me dejó enamorada desde la primera puntada. Lo tejí para regalárselo a mi hija. Ella disfruta muchísimo esos pequeños rituales cotidianos que combinan lectura y una buena taza de té o café, así que este detalle tenía que ser para ella.

My daughter loves tea, especially green tea. With that in mind, I decided to knit her a little green tea cup with a small heart at the bottom to use as a bookmark for the books she is reading. At first, I wanted to knit her a coffee cup, but while I was looking for the materials, I realized that I didn't have much brown yarn, but I did have quite a bit of green yarn. So I didn't hesitate: the first cup would be green tea, using what I had on hand and letting the project flow smoothly.
Even so, I didn't want to give up on the coffee cup. With a little brown yarn, thinking that I might not have enough, I knitted the little circle that represents the coffee... and I had just enough. I already gave her the tea cup, and now I have to finish the coffee cup to complete this pair of bookmarks that will accompany her in two of the things she enjoys most: reading and having a quiet cup of coffee or tea.
The pattern is simple and easy to follow. I used macramé yarn to make them sturdier and a 3.5 mm needle. I loved the final result. I liked it so much that I've already decided to make more to sell, because I know that these little cups will appeal to those who enjoy books and those quiet moments accompanied by a cup of tea or coffee, just like my daughter and I do.🧶☕📚
A mi hija le encanta el té, especialmente el té verde. Pensando en eso, decidí tejerle una tacita de té verde, con un pequeño corazón al final, para que marque las páginas de los libros que está leyendo. En principio quería tejerle una tacita de café, pero mientras buscaba los materiales, me di cuenta de que no tenía mucho hilo color café, pero sí bastante hilo verde. Así que no lo dudé: la primera tacita sería de té verde, usando lo que tenía a mano y dejando que el proyecto fluyera sin complicaciones.
Aun así, no quise quedarme con las ganas de la tacita de café. Con un poquito de hilo marrón, pensando que tal vez no alcanzaría, tejí el redondito que representa el café… y me alcanzó justo. Ya le entregué la tacita de té, y ahora tengo pendiente terminar la tacita de café para completar este par de marcapáginas que la acompañarán en dos de las cosas que más disfruta: leer y tomarse un café o un té con calma.
El patrón es sencillo y fácil de seguir. Usé hilo macramé para que quedaran más firmes y una aguja de 3.5 mm. Amé el resultado final. Me gustó tanto que ya decidí tejer más para vender, porque sé que estas pequeñas tacitas pueden enamorar a quienes disfrutan de los libros y de esos momentos tranquilos acompañados por una taza de té o café, tal como lo hacemos mi hija y yo.🧶☕📚
