Wooden spoon rest, a necessary purchase
Hello, hello, my beautiful people of this beautiful little house. I hope you are well with health and well being. Back here to share with you another of my home posts.
A few days ago I made a simple but very useful purchase for my kitchen: a wooden spoon rest. Although it seems like an accessory that is not necessary, for me it represents order, cleanliness and that taste for having functional details that make the moment of cooking more pleasant, and the best part is the price of only 9,900 Colombian pesos, which is equivalent to about 2.50 dollars. I have wanted one for a long time, but not just any one. I wanted it made of wood, because I love that material for kitchen utensils; I find it warmer, more resistant and with a natural charm that does not compare with plastic or metal.
I used to rest my wooden spoon or spatula directly on the counter when I was cooking, which inevitably left stains, splatters and little drips of sauce or oil. Now all that is a thing of the past. With this accessory, the work area stays cleaner and more organized, and the best part is that it cleans up in seconds: just wipe it with a damp cloth or wash it under running water and you're done. The wood does not retain odors and dries quickly if well cared for.

Hace unos días hice una compra sencilla pero muy útil para mi cocina: un reposacuchara de madera. Aunque parezca un accesorio que no es necesario, para mí representa orden, limpieza y ese gusto por tener detalles funcionales que hacen más agradable el momento de cocinar, y lo mejor el precio de apenas 9.900 pesos colombianos, lo que equivale a unos 2,50 dólares. Desde hace tiempo quería uno, pero no cualquiera. Lo quería de madera, porque me encanta ese material para los utensilios de cocina; me parece más cálido, más resistente y con un encanto natural que no se compara con el plástico o el metal.
Antes solía apoyar la cuchara de madera o la espátula directamente sobre el mesón cuando estaba cocinando, lo cual inevitablemente dejaba manchas, salpicaduras y pequeños regueros de salsa o aceite. Ahora todo eso quedó atrás. Con este accesorio, el área de trabajo se mantiene más limpia y organizada, y lo mejor es que se limpia en segundos: solo paso un paño húmedo o lo lavo bajo el chorro de agua y listo. La madera no retiene olores y se seca rápido si se cuida bien.

I really like this kind of details for the kitchen. I enjoy having everything in its place and having small elements that make everyday life more practical. Also, the spoon rest adds a cozy touch to my kitchen.
I love that it is not only useful, but also pretty. It is an object that, although small, reflects that love for details and for keeping the space clean, functional and pleasant. Without a doubt, it was an excellent purchase. Sometimes it is precisely these simple elements that are most appreciated, because they solve small everyday problems with a lot of efficiency and style.
Me gusta mucho este tipo de detalles para la cocina. Disfruto tener todo en su lugar y contar con pequeños elementos que hacen más práctico el día a día. Además, el reposacuchara le da un toque acogedor a mi cocina.
Me encanta que no solo es útil, sino también bonito. Es un objeto que, aunque pequeño, refleja ese amor por los detalles y por mantener el espacio limpio, funcional y agradable. Sin duda, fue una excelente compra. A veces son justamente estos elementos sencillos los que más se agradecen, porque resuelven pequeños problemas cotidianos con mucha eficacia y estilo.

Amiga muy buena tu adquisición, creo que aunque parezca algo insignificante, representa la limpieza y organización de la cocina. Creo que es un objeto muy útil para evitar la suciedad después despues de las limpiezas jiji. Un saludo y bendecido día.
