Tree with applied buttons: little treasures in cross stitch
Greetings and blessings, my dear needle friends. I hope you are in good health and well being.
Today I want to share with you a little piece of my days and my love for knitting and embroidery, two passions that fill my life with color, patience and creativity.
Every time I enter the Dollar City store, and I can say that it is almost every day because now I have a store closer to home, there is an aisle, among so many, that catches me without remedy: the haberdashery area. It's like a little paradise, a world of colors, textures and endless possibilities. I feel like a little girl in a toy store, my eyes sparkling with excitement at the sight of so many beauties together. Threads of every imaginable shade, delicate ribbons, charming buttons, paints, craft kits and costume jewelry, and these embroidery kits that jump out at me and whisper in my ear, “take me with you!”.

Hoy quiero compartirles un pedacito de mis días y mi amor por el tejido y el bordado, dos pasiones que llenan mi vida de color, paciencia y creatividad.
Cada vez que entro a la tienda Dollar City, y puedo decir que es casi todos los días porque ahora tengo una tienda más cerca de casa, hay un pasillo, entre tantos, que me atrapa sin remedio: el área de mercería. Es como un pequeño paraíso, un mundo de colores, texturas y posibilidades infinitas. Me siento como una niña en una tienda de juguetes, con los ojos brillando de emoción al ver tantas bellezas juntas. Hilos de todos los tonos imaginables, cintas delicadas, botones encantadores, pinturas, kits de manualidades y bisutería, y estos kits de bordado que saltan a mi vista y me susurran al oído: "¡llévame contigo!".
This time, I couldn't resist a mini cross stitch project that had a special detail: little buttons that are applied over the embroidery. I thought it was a wonderful idea, a touch of relief and texture that made it even more special. The best part is that these kits are very inexpensive. I immediately imagined how it would look with those tiny details standing out on the embroidery and I couldn't resist: I bought it! I couldn't wait too long to embroider it either. It was nice to shape the tree and then put the little buttons on it. I loved the way it turned out. And you?
But this is not all, my dear friends, there are many more designs that I am in love with. Each one is so much prettier than the other that you want to take them all. In fact, I have already decided what my next purchase will be: a beautiful embroidery of a little bird that conquered me at first sight and that I am excited to share with you too.
So on my next visit, I know I will end up in the same aisle, with the same excitement, discovering new wonders and dreaming about the projects I will do.
En esta ocasión, no pude resistirme a un mini proyecto de punto de cruz que tenía un detalle especial: unos pequeños botoncitos que se aplican sobre el bordado. Me pareció una idea maravillosa, un toque de relieve y textura que lo hacía aún más especial. Lo mejor es que estos kits son muy económicos. De inmediato, me imaginé cómo quedaría con esos diminutos detalles resaltando sobre el bordado y no pude resistirme: ¡lo compré! Tampoco pude esperar mucho tiempo para bordarlo. Fue bonito darle forma al arbolito y luego poner los botoncitos. Me encantó como quedó. ¿y a ustedes?
Pero esto no es todo, mis queridas amigas, hay muchos más diseños que me tienen enamorada. Cada uno más lindo que el otro que dan ganas de llevárselos todos. De hecho, ya tengo decidido cuál será mi próxima compra: un hermoso bordado de pajarito que me conquistó a primera vista y que me entusiasma compartir con ustedes también.
Así que en mi próxima visita, sé que terminaré en el mismo pasillo, con esa misma emoción, descubriendo nuevas maravillas y soñando con los proyectos que haré.
