The charm of handmade (EN-ES)
Happy start of the weekend, my dear needle friends at NeedleWorkMonday. I hope you are very well with health and wellness and that you are having a few days of rest and tranquility.
On this occasion I want to show you the details that I knitted to give as a gift for the celebration of the day of love and friendship that I shared with my friends of the foundation.
To complete the activities we planned for that day, I decided to knit some little things to give as gifts. At first, I wanted to knit a gift for each one because, for me, making a gift with my own hands is a way of giving affection and love, it has a special charm, but I didn't have time.
So I started by knitting some flowers to use as page dividers or bookmarks. I knitted a sunflower and a flower with a bud at the end. I found it so beautiful and delicate that I want to make many more.
Feliz inicio de fin de semana, mis queridas amigas de las agujas en NeedleWorkMonday. Espero que estén muy bien con salud y bienestar y que sean unos días de descanso y tranquilidad.
En esta ocasión les quiero mostrar los detalles que tejí para la regalar en la celebración por el día del amor y la amistad que compartí con mis amigas de la fundación.
Para completar las actividades que planificamos para ese día, se me ocurrió tejer unas cositas para regalar. En principio, quería tejer un regalo para cada una porque, para mí, hacer un regalo con mis propias manos es una forma de regalar afecto y cariño, tiene un encanto especial, pero no me dio tiempo.
Así que comencé tejiendo unos flores para usarlas como separador de páginas o marcalibros. Tejí un girasol y una flor con un capullo al final. Me apreció tan hermosa y delicada que quiero hacer muchas más.
Then I knitted a little bag from a granny stitch like the ones I had knitted recently, but bigger because I knitted it with more loops. I used the same color yarn I used to knit the sunflower and I added a printed button that gave a special touch to the bag, I loved it!
I had already thought that the bookmarks would be for one gift, the bag for another and I wanted to make a third one, but I didn't have more time to knit it. So I looked for one of the mug covers I had knitted some time ago and wrapped it to complete three.
Luego tejí un bolsito partiendo de un granny como los que había tejido recientemente, pero más grande porque le hice más vueltas. Usé el hilo del mismo color con el que tejí el girasol y le puse un botón estampado que le dio un toque especial al bolsito. ¡Me encantó!
Ya tenía pensado que los marcalibros serían para un regalito, el bolsito para otro y quería hacer un tercero, pero no tenía más tiempo para tejerlo. Así que busqué una de las fundas para tazas que había tejido hace tiempo y la envolví para completar tres.

I thought of a raffle to give away these gifts, but I came up with something more fun. I marked three chairs with the word prized and the ones sitting on them would be the winners. I put the gifts in a bag for the winners to take out their own gifts. It was a very entertaining moment and the girls were very happy.
I love the idea of giving this kind of gifts because they carry a little piece of my feelings and emotions in each stitch. It fills me with joy to know that my creations can be useful and that they carry a little piece of me.

Para entregar estos regalitos pensé en una rifa, pero se me ocurrió algo más divertido. Marqué tres sillas con la palabra premiada y las que estuvieran sentadas en ellas, serían las ganadoras. Puse los regalitos en una bolsa para que las que salieran premiadas sacaran sus propios obsequios. Fue un momento muy entretenido y las chicas quedaron muy contentas.
Me encanta la idea de dar este tipo de regalos porque llevan un pedacito de mis sentimientos y emociones en cada puntada. Me llena de alegría saber que mis creaciones pueden ser útiles y que llevan un pedacito de mí.
